I have been hearing more and more about feminism these days and the woman's struggle. What really gets me is how feminism as an ideology is just fine and dandy. I'm all about equality and those good things so long as it is fair and reasonable. I am also all about supporting women wanting to be successful and wield power in the world. I am even all about having equal work opportunities for women and men alike. But that is not what Feminism is all about. Speaking to feminists who are not self enlightened is the worst of experiences.
Feminists do not want equality. They want the systemic oppression of men. They want to be the "ruling class". They look at men the way Nazis looked at jews. Inferior, dangerous and a problem that needs eradicating. They are unwilling to look realistically at the differences between women and men to enlighten themselves about the reality of any "discrimination". Feminists will say they want equal work for equal pay. They say that women are paid less than men in America. This point can be easily stricken down when we analyze that claim. A majority of women workers go for lowered salary jobs like teaching or social work. To say that as a whole group men make more than women is not a bad thing at all. The numbers just show that at the current time men take jobs that pay more while women go for jobs that fulfill them more. The numbers do not show that on an individual basis if a company is hiring for the same position in two different branches of a company and one branch hires a man and the other a woman the man will get a higher salary.
I remember back when I was a young boy probably around 6 or 7th grade. We had an assignment which required us to group up and create a society. Give some rules to it and the ideologies that would be held by the governing body and all that fun stuff. A majority of the groups made societies that were more or less functional and would for the most part be decent societies to live in. But there was this one group that consisted of all females. They come up to the front of the class to present their "ideal" society. This fucking cunt has the audacity to speculate that the worlds problems would all be solved if men were kept underground and used exclusively for breeding purposes. She goes on to talk about how amazing this society would be since there would be no men to do bad things. At the end of it the teacher basically praised her saying that they all did excellent on this project. I may have been young but I knew this was not okay. This caused me to realize the truth about feminism and women in general.
The feminist argument of only keeping men for breeding purposes is something I have heard time and time again from countless women ranging in tones from half-joking to completely serious. I even recently saw an article in which a very prominent feminist is pushing for the widespread propagation of this ideology. This is the part of feminism that proves to me that a majority of feminists are really just man hating women. I have heard this idea from countless women but never once have I heard its converse from any man. In other words no man would make the argument that women should only be kept around for breeding purposes even though it would make far more sense in terms of practicality (which is something i will elaborate on if asked but will leave be for now). Men would never say this because we love women. Men chose not to think of a world where you do not see any women unless you are going to the breeding center because it would be a shitty depressing world. Also if any man ever said the converse of the feminist breeding argument consider the backlash they would get! "Oh so women are only good for sex?" "Its ignorant to think of a society in which women amount to nothing more than sex slaves".
Maybe there is a reason that men have been the authority for so long...

Funny how they think men are so evil yet they would not be able to survive if not for the civilization that men built.
-
Ive noticed the most vocal feminazis are the ones that look most like men
I think their anger at men is from lack of attention

Quick google search brought up this:
http://www.iwpr.org/publications/pubs/the-gender-wage-gap-by-occupation-1/
but I'm sure there's more easily found.
"Women’s median earnings are lower than men’s in nearly all occupations, whether they work in occupations predominantly done by women, occupations predominantly done by men, or occupations with a more even mix of men and women."
I'd kind of like to explore this a little more, though. You say that women generally go for lower paying jobs, but could it actually be that those jobs pay less than others because it's work many women are drawn to? Meaning you could trace the histories of those jobs back to when people didn't even argue about why women made less than men and it was just a simple fact that men made more and they were considered the main breadwinners. When wage equality hadn't even been considered, and women made less simple because their husbands were expected to make a lot more. Could that maybe have carried over today? Is it fair? Did the free market simply determine that educators and social workers shouldn't make much money, or was it possibly that men, being at the "top" decided that "manly" jobs were worth more to society than others?
I don't have any answers, just lots of questions.

Oppressed by the half baked ideas of 14 year old girls? Uhm...

I don't think you understand what feminism even is.

I don't think you understand what feminism even is.
It is just another 'ism' used to control us. You probably think that families are better off these days with two parents working, and that women demanding to enter the workforce is a good thing. Feminists 'cast off the patriarchy' by throwing away the 'single breadwinner nuclear family' concept and traded it for a 'kids in daycare, mom and dad working 60 hours a piece and the kids are becoming sociopaths' modern 'family'.
Feminists are fucking stupid as fuck, for real.
-
man i have gotta stop spamming this place and get some actual work done ugh

The nuclear 60's family seems great, but even back then there were single mothers trying to raise kids on their low low wages. Simple fact of life that you gotta make money to live decently, regardless of sex.

Yes, but people who bought the concept of 'feminism' played right into the hands of the 'architects' of such concepts, who have no problem with the other 50% of the population working full time and paying those taxes they love. You see how you have been lied to? 'Racism' is the same way, all these 'isms' are like fences for livestock, they keep us under control.

I don't understand at all what you're saying here...
-
'feminism' gets the other 50% of the population (women) up in arms, and they demand to work like men do. Sort of like telling a little kid that the broccoli that they hate really tastes like candy. So the feminists demanded that they have 'careers' just like men do, and the ones who run shit sat back and laughed as their tax earnings doubled.
-
Back in the 'good old days', a man could work and earn enough to support a wife and family. Feminism destroyed all that. No family could survive these days with just one earner. When women demanded to be a part of the workforce, the 'powers that be' rubbed their hands together and anticipated more taxes and more wage slaves. And they got it, thanks to your 'feminist sisterhood'.

That's not how any of this works at all! :P
And even if it did, women shouldn't feel they have to get married and depend on a man just to live comfortably. Monetary autonomy shouldn't be given exclusively to half of the population. Especially not if the deciding factor is something pointless, like what a person has in their pants.

Yet half of the population has exclusivity over reproductive choices, and that is ok with you? Feminist detected.

Economics isn't so simple that a single social movement can be blamed for the current state of things. The way I see it, women entering the workforce en masse was inevitable.

What, are all the women in Congress debating over whether you should be allowed vasectomies or not?
-
No, but if I get a girl pregnant, and I want to keep the kid and she doesn't, guess what happens? Baby Timmy or Susie ends up in a medical waste bag or in some lip gloss or whatever.

Moot point. That is wholly and fully irrelevant

Honestly, I'm looking for a warrior priestess. I'm all for the empowerment of people in general, regardless of race, sex, etc... I believe that we are all gods and we just need to realize our potential. I want a strong, independent, bad ass woman. Problem is, feminists are just PC, liberal, government worshiping bitches.
Feminists say shit like, "It's my right to force someone else to pay for my birth control!" LOL!
I want an equal. Not some dependent, brainwashed bitch. Fuck feminism!
-
I want an equal. Not some dependent, brainwashed bitch. Fuck feminism!
Sorry to tell you, women are not equal. They are physically smaller and different than men, and it is apparent to anyone except the most ardent feminists and their white knight male followers.
-
You think men should be allowed to force women to undergo 9 months of pregnancy, and give birth? Suggesting that they don't deserve the right to make their own personal medical decisions?
-

What does physical size have to do with economic productivity in the modern age?
-

There would only be 'force' involved if it was rape. Women are not holy, perfect beings who are shackled by men and forced to suffer pregnancies and work for slave wages like in your worldview. If she can't keep her goddamn legs shut, and she gets pregnant, there is no 'man forcing her to undergo pregnancy'.
-
I think it's funny how women think they're being independent... But, they're actually just slaves to the corporate/government system. BAHHHH you fucking mindless sheep. You were more free as homemakers.
-
What does physical size have to do with economic productivity in the modern age?
"Us women can do anything that men do, only better!"
Except: Lift over 25 pounds, run without being battered all to fuck by their mammaries, get items from tall shelves, perform tasks involving precise manual dexterity, drive, deal with the public without being a total cunt, get along with their own sex, etc etc I could go on all day
-

A woman's right to medical autonomy ends at conception?
lol.

A woman's right to medical autonomy
No such animal. The only 'rights' we have are the rights bestowed upon us by god, and he fucking hates abortion.

When I'm working, I lift far more than 25lbs several times a shift. It's the norm, though it's being phased out with mechanical lifts. And this is a job a disproportionate amount of women perform...
-
inb4 equinanimininanity types something stupid like "god is not a 'he'"

Abortion is unnatural. Unless you take a fall or get attacked by an angry ape.

If you can't lift at least 75% of your own body weight, there is nothing 'productive' about the work you perform.
-

Your religious beliefs should not dictate someone else's medical options or treatment.

I care for the elderly and infirm. Dunno if you'd consider that productive, but it's an important service and it is economically viable in this market. Especially if you run a center or program yourself.
-

Nothing to do with religion, per se. It is about inalienable rights like 'the right to bear arms' (because god made animals with tooth and claw to defend themselves, and people have arms for the same reason). There are others, I encourage you to look them up. I regret to inform you that you will not find 'a woman's right to medical autonomy' anywhere among them.
-

And if you were bigger and stronger, your job would be easier, right? You would be more productive, right? Right.

One part of my job would be made easier. But everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I bet I'm better able to empathize with the people I treat and better afford them solace than you would be. That's hugely important.
-
tranny feminism are you fucking serious?
this is strike 2

It's in there :P.
Where? I wanna fucking see it.

I bet you didn't know that I volunteered with red cross for almost 10 years and I have also worked with physically and mentally handicapped people.

I'm biased, but I still think I'm better at it than you are. It's one of my most valued strengths, and I've seen plenty of cold (or worse... sometimes even abusive) volunteers and workers in my time.
You probably have a bigger capacity for empathy than I'm giving you credit for, but my point wasn't that I'm better than you. Just that we're different, and that's not a bad thing.

haha.
Legal and social equality (human constructs) are different from equality of personal attributes (generally not human constructs). Don't be ridiculous :P

I am simply discussing 'inalienable' rights given by god, not any of this 'womens studies', 'social worker' contrived jargon semantic games bullshit.
-
You have the right to close your fucking legs. If you open your legs, than you have the right to get knocked the fuck up!

Why are we only talking about this one thing now? And they don't seem so inalienable or god-given to me.
-
they don't seem so inalienable or god-given to me.
Do not dismiss that which you do not understand. If I felt like doing all the work it would take, I would explain it to you the way I see it. One example is the 'right to bear arms' thing. Since we humans do not possess natural weaponry, god gave us the ability and will to use our environment to fashion 'arms' for our protection.

Maybe god gave us the ability, but the right? Inalienable right? Romanticism.

Rights stem from the fact that I could kill you at any moment. And, you me. We agree not to do that to each other, but we recognize that we each have rights. If you refuse to acknowledge my rights, then you risk the chance of being killed. It's as simple as that. I have inalienable rights that I will fight and die for and kill any motherfucker who gets in my way. You're only free by your own will.
-

Please don't condescend to me haha. If they were truly inalienable then it would be impossible to enslave a person. Or kill them, really. I never understood that "god-given, inalienable" line though. It's great from a non-literal perspective, but yeah. That's romanticism and pretty language, not objective fact.
-

The 'right to bear arms' is so inalienable, that one can exercise this right simply by picking up a rock and throwing it. How can you ever take this right away? You can't. The right to pursue happiness? How do you take something like that away?
-
Anyway, I hope you make a great post and convince me that rights constructed by humans are inalienable on some cosmic scale or something. That concept always was beyond me, honestly.
I gotta go now though. Thanks so much for chatting with me! It's beautiful that we can come together so peaceably and share our dissenting views like this. That's why I'm here :)

Bye for now! <333

rights constructed by humans
-
I'm a free man. I don't care whether you recognize it or not. I don't care if you can understand the concept of inalienable rights or not. The truth of the matter is that we are all humans on this Earth and as such, we have an equal claim of right. No person, or group of people can say shit to me. I don't consent to being ruled or represented by others. I represent myself. I retain all rights. If you try to violate my rights, I'll put a fucking bullet in your skull.
-
No shit
-
You think men should be allowed to force women to undergo 9 months of pregnancy, and give birth? Suggesting that they don't deserve the right to make their own personal medical decisions?
They certainly have those rights. But those rights cant infringe on the rights of others and the idea of making the taxpayer pay for a 14 year old girls birth control is pretty fucked up. I believe that women have the right to make their own medical decisions. Therefore they have the right to choose to get birth control at their expense or face the consequences. It shouldn't be my job to keep you from getting pregnant unless Ima stick my dick in you.
-

True. But, I think you have to fill out forms in triplicate for the government in order for that to happen. There is also a licensing fee.

Birth control is really cheap when compared with the cost of raising a kid. And when we're talking about teen moms? You're gonna end up paying either way, when they apply for social services and benefits :P
May as well just pay for their birth control imo. Everyone benefits, including you.

Implying that the increase in dual-income households is solely or even primarily attributable to feminism? lol.
You should change your name to 'simple mike'.
edit: and fucking lol at "god gave me the inalienable right to bear arms". this is why the rest of the world thinks america is retarded.

Yeah, I guess I am wrong just because you say so, FON. Don't you have kangaroos to wrangle or some other stupid australian shit to do?
So even after I pointed out that other factors contributed to the increase in dual-income households you STILL couldn't think of anything? lol. simple mike indeed.
There is plenty of evidence that demonstrates the role of changing economic circumstances and policy (labour shortages, changing labour markets, increasing unemployment, rising cost of living, inadequate wages/enterprise bargaining etc etc) in necessitating an increase in dual-income households. Not to mention other things like increased access to education can also help to explain the increased numbers of women in the workforce.

edit: and fucking lol at "god gave me the inalienable right to bear arms". this is why the rest of the world thinks america is retarded.
what the fuck do you think 'inalienable rights' means, dumbass? I will quote your statement so posterity can witness your stupidity.
I'm laughing at your appeal to God to justify the possession/use of guns and weapons. Such a typical american douchebag thing to do.

You clearly have ZERO understanding of history, and the economic times surrounding it either. Rosey the Riveter and the WWII female working class started the whole thing, and by the time the 70's came around and it became commonplace is when inflation really started to make a severe impact on the way we live our lives. Mike is right, back in the day you COULD raise a family on one income, but because of inflation by the time the later 80's rolled around now it takes 2 and sometimes 3 just to make ends meet....unless you are getting some kind of supplemental income of some sort.
And what else were the results of women flooding the workplace? More divorces, more infidelity, more kids left unsupervised turning to drugs, gangs, teenage pregnancies. etc ad nauseum. This is NO coincidence all of these ills more or less "started" in the ME GENERATION of the 70's....and as the nuclear family gets further destroyed we lose more of our culture and more familial values because of it.
So yes, feminism DID play a huge part in fucking up our society.....rhetoric and hubris of "equal rights" be damned.

So economic circumstances in the 80's brought about the increase in dual-income households? How does that disagree with what I just said? If anything that supports the point I'm making - that feminism shouldn't be solely or even primarily blamed for the increase in dual-income households as a number of factors contributed to this. Some of which are, arguably, more important.
And what else were the results of women flooding the workplace? More divorces, more infidelity, more kids left unsupervised turning to drugs, gangs, teenage pregnancies. etc ad nauseum. I'm not quite sure you're following me. I'm not discounting feminism's role in engaging more women in the workforce, I'm just not blaming it entirely when there are clearly many other factors involved.
-
Feminism doesn't have to be exclusively just for women, it's merely a state of mind, a shift in consciousness in which men could participate as well for a more spiritually nurturing, abstract form of human nature. There's a lot of merit behind certain feminist ideologies, it's just a shame most men snort at the idea of Matriarchy and most women have lost the ability to trust in men because of a few male chauvinists and believe there is no practical way they could coexist.

FON, I'm not going to spell out to you the basic concepts of what causes inflation...because Google IS your friend. :D IF you do any research on your own, hopefully by then you'll better understand how more workers=more money in the hands of consumers=dollar losing its value.

Sure, but could you please spell out how this means that feminism is primarily responsible for increases in dual-income households? Or how this effectively discounts the other contributing factors?
-
I already spelled it out. Women demanded to be part of the workforce, so there were more workers and more consumer driven activities. Inflation was a result, because there was more money and workers and more workers means more supply. In the original post I made, this was implied, but since you are australian I guess I will spell it out for you, and I am even typing slowly so you can keep up.
-

Our country's founding documents are based on this premise. We were founded by proud rebels, not miserable illiterate convicts. Fuck australia, and fuck you.

I don't concern myself with massive ideologies. From my perspective and knowledge, I'm lead to believe that Feminism by some definition is the equality between men and women, in the sense, that women need to be respected and expected to do an equal share of work in relation to men.. but also, men need to be less idealized as the main provider.. Idk, I could way off on that.. just going on my general assumption considering I haven't cared to truly read up on it.. won't stop me from giving my opinion though.
Honestly, I could care less. I already believe that men or women have the power to do whatever the sole please.. women can work just as much as a man, is to say.. if they want to. Some lazy ass men out there too so... why not. Men are expected to be sole bread winners based on the ideologies of the past decades.. I'm currently in a relationship where me and my fiance are both highly successful in our own ways.. I like a motivated somewhat independent woman.. I think the more equality we have between men and women, the better a man and woman can work together to succeed. All the drama inbetween.. dont fucking care.

And I told you that your view appears simplistic.
"women demanded to be in the workforce and the resulting inflation necessitated an increase in dual-income households".
The problem with this position is that you have completely ignored other contributing factors and laid the blame entirely on feminism and it's role in increasing inflation. You might be right, but your explanation so far seems half-baked and simple, even for somebody with as little knowledge on economics as me. Inflation isn't driven solely by changing labour market compositions and we know for a fact that other factors have made a substantial contribution in past decades, such as the oil shock in the 70's. Can you at least provide some sort of evidence that increased workplace participation for women was the primary factor in driving up inflation in past decades, and that this inflation completely overshadowed the numerous other factors that have been commonly noted to contribute to the changing family model?

lol. i'm glad that not all americans fit the stereotype as well as crazymike.

Yeah fon, I am not falling for this. 20 pages later we will still be arguing.

LOL! Fon's idea of "debating"(?)....
"I really don't know much about economics, so I'll just keep responding with nothing more than "nuh uh", until Mike takes the time out of his life to educate me"
Then he proudly and boldly declares that the founding doctrines that the United States was built on is quite simply "retarded" in his eyes....despite the fact millions upon millions of people have immigrated to this country in pursuit of those very ideals. Yeah, the rest of world is crazy, while Fon sits atop his moral highground more in touch with life than everyone else.
Listen FON, I'm probably the absolute LEAST patriotic/nationalistic person on these boards....but you making such absurd statements makes you look like a god-damn idiot.

So no evidence that a changing labour market composition completely overshadowed any other contributing factors to inflation over the last few decades? Or that inflation driven by the changing labour market completely overshadowed any other contributing factors to the increase in dual-income households? Why is it so hard to accept that many things contributed to this and that simply claiming that "feminism destroyed the traditional family model" is overly simplistic? If you think that these questions are the equivalent to "nuh-uh" then I believe that says more about yourself than anything.
Also, it wasn't the bill of rights itself that I find retarded, but the idea that these rights are bestowed upon Americans by God...An American ranting about guns and citing God for justification is a horrible cliche, but it actually does sort of make sense when you consider American attitudes and stereotypes.

Arguing with you is basically arguing with google. I am not going to play your stupid fucking games. Go spew your web search results elsewhere.

I'm glad we could establish that you were talking out of your ass when you made that claim earlier. I'm sorry if this has induced a severe pain in your rectum. The bleeding should stop within a few hours.
-
Back in the 'good old days', a man could work and earn enough to support a wife and family. Feminism destroyed all that. No family could survive these days with just one earner. When women demanded to be a part of the workforce, the 'powers that be' rubbed their hands together and anticipated more taxes and more wage slaves. And they got it, thanks to your 'feminist sisterhood'.
Implying that the increase in dual-income households is solely or even primarily attributable to feminism? lol.

It was an angle that I have not previously considered. I don't think he's saying that it was solely responsible for the economic and corporate climate we have today, but to think that feminism and women finally getting rights didn't radically change the world in more ways than one is actually harmful and dismissive to the feminist movement.

No, I stand by what I said, but I am just not going to do what you do, which is put together a bunch of talking points you found on google and acting like that is your argument.

The feminist movement definitely contributed, there is no denying that, but the claim that inflation as a result of feminism was responsible for destroying the 'traditional family model' seems far-fetched and overly simplistic for the reasons noted above.

Stand by it all you like, but it's obvious you don't have any substance behind your opinion. You can't even respond to the most basic of problems with your position, which is a very telling sign.
