Do not dismiss that which you do not understand.  If I felt like doing all the work it would take, I would explain it to you the way I see it.  One example is the 'right to bear arms' thing.  Since we humans do not possess natural weaponry, god gave us the ability and will to use our environment to fashion 'arms' for our protection.

Rights stem from the fact that I could kill you at any moment.  And, you me.  We agree not to do that to each other, but we recognize that we each have rights.  If you refuse to acknowledge my rights, then you risk the chance of being killed. It's as simple as that.  I have inalienable rights that I will fight and die for and kill any motherfucker who gets in my way.  You're only free by your own will.

Please don't condescend to me haha.   If they were truly inalienable then it would be impossible to enslave a person.  Or kill them, really.  I never understood that "god-given, inalienable" line though.  It's great from a non-literal perspective, but yeah.  That's romanticism and pretty language, not objective fact.

The 'right to bear arms' is so inalienable, that one can exercise this right simply by picking up a rock and throwing it.  How can you ever take this right away?  You can't.  The right to pursue happiness?  How do you take something like that away?

Anyway, I hope you make a great post and convince me that rights constructed by humans are inalienable on some cosmic scale or something.  That concept always was beyond me, honestly.

They certainly have those rights. But those rights cant infringe on the rights of others and the idea of making the taxpayer pay for a 14 year old girls birth control is pretty fucked up. I believe that women have the right to make their own medical decisions. Therefore they have the right to choose to get birth control at their expense or face the consequences. It shouldn't be my job to keep you from getting pregnant unless Ima stick my dick in you.

Birth control is really cheap when compared with the cost of raising a kid.  And when we're talking about teen moms?  You're gonna end up paying either way, when they apply for social services and benefits
