They can only kick or knee the head if their opponent is standing. Kneeling, or one hand on the mat makes head kicks/knees illegal. In the early UFC events, soccer kicks to the head of a downed opponent were legal, it was fucking nasty. Some of them made my stomach turn because of how brutal they were, like the curbstomp from American History X but real.

Legit, a full kick to some poor fucker kneeling sounds brutal as fuck. I feel like even one sold connect on that could fuck up a nigga for life. I respect anyone who's willing to put themselves in mortal danger for the entertainment of the general public but fuck if I'm gonna sign up for the permanent brain damage league.

Yeah, like it seems reasonable that there's more to it than people getting the shit beat out of them but as a uninitiated observer that's basically all I can see. Like fuck, I'm entertained if there's more to it or not. I guess I can't speak for the general public, but I have a suspicion that people who watch this stuff on the regular have no more appreciation for it than I do, which is to say the amazement of watching people getting fucked the fuch up.

She had cauliflower ear (subdermal blood/fluid build up) that got busted like a balloon and opened up a cut with the first punch (where you see the blood squirt out). She got hit a couple more times and the cut tore open more.
