It's disabled until you hit 100 posts you fucking idiot. Even needing to qualify your intelligence with "smart as a motherfucker" makes you seem dumb

opposite of a mood stabilizer? well mood stabilizers are mostly antiepileptics/anticonvulsants that shut off/slow down certain nerve impulses to prevent seizures, so I guess tramadol and wellbutrin would be pretty much the opposite since they lower the seizure threshold to a greater extent than other drugs. The first time I was on wellbutrin it made me psychotic, but I enjoyed it, it was fun thinking there were microphones in everything and trying to find cameras, etc. but that was only with the brand name. When I was on it for the second time, I took the generic which hardly did anything.

Oh no, I mean I take 300mg in the morning and 300mg in the evening, as well as 10mg escitalopram & 20mg adderall XR in the AM.

I hate to break it to you but the 2mg xanax\daily probably has a lot more to do with your cognitive decline.

I've been on this combo for around 3 years.

No side effects at all. Seriously.

EDIT:

I have never been on a mood stabilizer w\o a concomitant SSRI - I was on sertraline 100mg initially which made me crazy aggressive\anti-social and I eventually attacked a cop and got kicked out of a second college for the second time, dx changed to bipolar NOS, Rx 100mg sertraline down to 50mg sertraline, Rx 300mg oxcarbazepine bid added (600mg\day total), this helped greatly keep me on an even keel and helped me not ascend into violent manias, then Lexapro went generic so I could afford it, sertraline 50mg replaced with escitalopram 10mg, this helped a lot too, sertraline is an EVIL drug for people with cyclothymic disorders

Well, I've only been on the Xanax for a couple months or so, but the first time I got scripted Gabapentin was my first time in that rehab right before the end of the world a few years ago.  And I've pretty much been on the Gabapentin that entire time, with a couple breaks from it here or there because of varying circumstances.  But yeah, just saying, I've been taking Gabapentin for +uite a while, and even my first couple weeks taking it, I felt like I was noticing an extremely slight dulling effect.  I mean how can you expect it not to, considering what it does and what it's used for (dulling nerve pain)?

I'm not saying it's anything major.  In fact, there is a slight chance it was  a placebo effect and me being a bit of a hypochondriac.  It just felt like there was a slight fogginess.  I've always still been capable of my awesome memory, and I can still spout off a buncha my Wikipedia Scientist knowledge at a whim, but I just feel like there's a slight, barely noticeable if at all, fogginess from it.

Now that I'm on the Xanax too, well yeah, but I felt the slightest fogginess/dulling effect from Gabapentin for sure, at least in my opinion and experience.  Obviously nothing anywhere near major enough for me to get off it yet.

Also, I was taking more than you and am taking way more now.  I was started out on 300mg three times a day, which is the typical starting dose for it in that rehab.  Then I got them to raise it to four doses a day.  Some people in there were taking 600mg three times a day, and I met one kid taking that amount four times a day.  It's probably also worth mentioning that there is a surprising majority of people in there that manage to get on it, because the quack doctor (as in, you basically just tell him what the fuck you want) and staff there feel that it works similarly to benzos (which is ridiculously less true than I had originally thought or was led to believe, and remember I had no Internet access at the time) but isn't a benzo, so it's their go-to for anxiety a lot of times.  Now I got [put on Xanax XR for the anxiety by a different doctor in a different state, and they're keeping me on the Gabapentin with the intention of it being utilized as a "mood stabilizer" for my somewhat questionable Bipolar I diagnosis.  I just don't believe you can diagnose somebody with that in particular or most things like that, after only speaking to the person in question for what, 30 minutes tops?  Now THAT is fucking stupid.

But yeah, they also lowered it back down to three times a day, however, I've still been taking like 6-9 every day.

Abusing them?  Dude, even without any tolerance at all, it'd take like 12 of them at once minimum to get any actual recreational high out of it, and the last time I did that was like over a year before I was ever even prescribed it.  Never taken a "high/drunk" dose since being scripted it.  I take a lot more than I'm prescribed, but that just makes me feel normal now, or depending on if I take a couple or few extra than usual that day, makes me more talkative and carefree.  I wouldn't call that abusing them.  I'm not taking enough where I feel wobbly and drunk, not even close.  It's more about the fact that if I DON'T take a certain amount every day now, I feel super fucking weird.  It's like mental breakdown type shit if you go a few days without even a 3x a day prescription after taking it regularly long enough.  I feel off as fuck if I DON'T take them.  I gotta take that much just to feel normal these days.

Or did me saying I like the mania-inducing effect equate to abuse to you?  I first noticed that back when I was taking it just three times a day in rehab.

And nobody said they "feel better after being dumbed down".  I said I feel better because they make me kinda manic most of the time but that a slight dulling effect has been subjectively observed.  Slight meaning quite possibly placebo, like I said earlier.

I'm mildly bipolar (mostly depressive), and I absolutely hate mood stabilizers and antidepressants. The made me feel like absolutely shit physically, and not very much better mentally. Kind of like a zombie almost. Someone could tell me that I won the lottery, and I'd just be like, meh...

I'll take the happiness and creativity I get during my mild manic ups any day over the constant bs having to take that crap.

I'm on a small dose of benzos and a very small dose of amphets and I feel great compared to that b.s...

Sure, I have my moments, but don't we all?

It doesn't necessarily make you a n00b. Maybe some people have lives / don't find it necessary to contribute to meaningless arguments, etc. I could go on, but what would be the point in that?   ;)

I love you, risir.

But in a totally homosexual way.
