but, I would hope that we can focus on the endgame here, rather than make this another 'staff complaint thread'.  What exactly would satisfy the discontent?  Lets lay it all on the table here.

Off-topic posts are within our acceptable posting guidelines, unless you are subjectively blatantly derailing the thread.  I don't have an example of this though.

I have a recommendation for staff trying to run a free speech site...'hands off' is a good rule of thumb when running such a board.  At least give us one forum where we can post what we want.

I am not advocating flooding or CP, or incriminating or exposing others PI.  Those things can be an exception, for the sake of the integrity of the forums. 

There have been users banned for posting 'spam threads' in half baked...what the fuck for?  There is too much 'micromanagement' and competing agendas here, talk about derailing a thread, management here is managing to derail the entire website....

I have always believed in more of a hands-off approach.  Just because one is hands-offish does not mean he or she is not monitoring things closely, ready to act when necessary.

  I have no complaints against you as an individual.  If I do refer to 'staff', it is as a monolithic entity, so nothing personal.

Count me in on that as well, Idio. I have ZERO issues with you, Moaning Lisa, or Rocklin. Its the other 2 hypocritical twits I direct my commentaries towards.

Why hasn't arnox come into this thread and posted his attempt at compromise?  Its like a parley where one side just doesn't even show up, the one guy that does bother to attend has no idea what his side's agenda is, and he has no authority to make any real concessions.

Arnox hasn't done much of anything once his impulsive retardation again blew up right in his face. Maybe for once he actually heeded my words and is taking time to research things, instead of "not having time" or only getting half a story before he acts like a spastic moron.

As for this, while I have quite a few ideas...I've pretty much expressed  most of them countless times already. And with all the complaints and suggestions people have brought forward...Arnox has either ignored them, brushed them off, or just made very weak excuses.

Besides, its not like he expressed he was going to be an eager or willing party to this thread or the spirit of it. You can't really have a negotiation, parlay or comprimise  or even just sincere discussion of any sort....if the other party is just hiding in his bunker under his cot in the fetal position.

I don't think he's intentionally hiding right now.  He's just taking time to mull things over, like you guys wanted him to.  We're communicating and working things out.  All I ask is that you be patient and be willing to work towards a solution.  It's understandable to vent your frustrations (especially in B&M), but we'll need to address some things together soon.  And by together, I mean with all of you, as a community, involved.

I plan on going into detail about some things later on.  I will try to get to it tonight, but today I will be a little busy today (picking up a dresser for my unborn child after work).  And I'm at work right now, so shhh.

It might help if we could all calm down just a little bit.  It's understandable if we're a little emotional from time to time, but if we actually want to come to mutually agreeable solutions it's generally best not to lose ourselves.

If we express ourselves calmly and sincerely try to understand where everyone else is coming from, our efforts move away from angry masturbation into the realm of productive expression.
