For what it's worth, this is the main reason I don't post here much anymore.

Don't have the time to sift through pages of spam for one nugget of intelligent/funny gold.

Ain't about to bitch n moan about it.. if that is what this site is about then so be it.  Just saying personally it turns me off and I could see how it would turn off potential newcomers.

My 2 cents.

This.  A little organization would do well.  I don't understand why off-topic posts shouldn't be removed from serious threads.  What is the purpose of allowing the turd to float around the punchbowl?

An off-topic post doesn't have to be a turd at all. An off-topic post can be a totally valid post and a post which is exactly in the right place. But what IS a turd is a kidiot's off-topic post. That is a true turd, and should be deleted outright if there is a definite pattern in the posting history of similar garbage. the only question that really matter is: Are you too stupid/dense/incompetent to recognize a turd post?

Staff, do not delete posts even if they're blatant derailings. Just infract the persons if they are doing so and move on.

Unfortunately that will still leave the turd in the thread to which anyone can respond, further derailing the thread and, logically, ensuring they too qualify for an infraction. Unless people are instructed not to reply to the infracted post in which case... why leave it there in the first place?

This.  On most forums I've posted on, moderators wouldn't delete off-topic posts but would move them into an appropriate thread, or a "trashcan" thread if required. Leaving off-topic posts detracts from the discussion.

What you want to do is work around the kidiot. Hold its little hand and coddle it and encourage it by putting in a whole lot of effort moving its shitdrops around, instead of simply dealing with the kidiot itself. That way it can spew out literally thousands of worthless posts for years and the site will appear as bustling with activity. I really admire you guys for your impeccable logic and your more than just impressive reasoning skills. TTFN! Take 3!

As usual Slave has the common sense approach to all of this, while the admin is completely void of any logic or reason. It would be like you are at a party where everyone is having fun, and then suddenly someone ends up puking in the middle of the dance floor. The host of the party says..."nah, let's not bother cleaning it up....everyone just ignore it, enjoy yourselves all the same".

Sorry Arnox, but if you want anyone to get back on the dance floor....you gotta clean up the mess first, or similar jackasses that can't hold their liquor will just quantify that as the communal toilet, all the while everyone else is avoiding that area of the party. Real difficult concept to grasp, ain't it?

There were 2 posts out of the first fifteen that weren't related to drama.  And those were single sentence posts that added absolutely nothing to the threads they were in.


2 out of 15 spectral. And that was just this morning. You've made 13 posts about drama and kidiots in the last, oh, about 2 hours.

How deep constitutes enough posts for me to make an objective statement about your post quality? How large a sample do I need before it's deemed accurate enough by -SpectraL's standards? I don't have time for these games either.
