I mean a deluge of staff complaint threads is kinda annoying, to be sure, but merging everything into one thread really does look like you're suppressing people trying to complain. There's a lot of shit posts in that thread that any sane person would ignore. If I actually had a complaint I wanted to make public I have no faith that posting it in that thread will get it read by anyone I want it to be read by. I don't really care since I'm not interested in making staff callout threads, but it's not what I would do if it was up to me.

If it really was about 'efficiency' and 'making things less annoying', they wouldn't be banning people for posting 'staff hate outside the thread'.

You know, you don't need to make a public post. You can just (and in fact, probably should) just PM me whatever complaints with the staff you have.

Are we going to be banned if we dont?

This place is fucked.  Its like this:  arnox and his staff want one sort of forum, and the forum residents want another.  No matter how much we raise our voices and agitate, he is still going to do things his way, no matter what.

I know its arnox's website and all, but it is analogous to a restaurant that cooks all the owners favorite dishes, while the dining room slowly gets emptier and emptier every week because no one likes the food being served.  The owner thinks 'well, I love the food here, it must be that everyone else just has bad taste in cuisine' and then adds another one of his favorite dishes to the menu.

If it really was about 'efficiency' and 'making things less annoying', they wouldn't be banning people for posting 'staff hate outside the thread'.

They are not banned outright. They are warned first, then banned as it's a light offense. Furthermore, why shouldn't people be infracted for willfully disobeying what the staff tells them to do in general? Are you telling me we shouldn't be infracting people for disobeying the rules?

And even further, WHY do you guys need to make a whole bunch of individual complaint threads? What's the purpose other than to get attention? Heck, even that purpose is made redundant too as you can just get attention by bumping the thread with your complaints.

Really, the only thing that's changed is that the complaints are more streamlined.

because when someone complains, what do they want?  attention to their complaint.

I agree which is why I said I don't really care, but regardless of whether or not making a callout thread is a great idea, rolling them all together into a giant incoherent cesspool of a megathread does limit people's ability to raise complaints publicly.

Don't actually resolve the complaints. Just perpetuate them in eternity by corralling them all through abuse of authority and harassment of valid content. Makes perfect sense!! Give this man a cigar!!

If I actually had a complaint I wanted to make public I have no faith that posting it in that thread will get it read by anyone I want it to be read by.

That actually IS the whole point and the purposeful strategy behind Arnox's tactics of having just one complaint thread.

I know exactly what you mean and it is a very valid concern. Regardless, I will make sure that I at least read and consider every complaint made in that thread so nothing gets left out. Also keep in mind too that this same thing (crowding out valid complaints with bad ones) could also happen with a lot of complaint threads. So if anything, I would actually say it makes it easier for one to stand out since all the staff has to do now is check the thread instead of having to sift through numerous individual threads and their replies as well.
