Is the staff complaint thread...

Leading the witness?  Would there be as many complaints against the staff if the thread topic were not highlighted and magnified at the top of every page?  For me personally, after every page I visit, I get a gentle reminder that I should go complain about the staff, even if I don't currently have a problem with them.

Is it a self-fulfilling prophecy?  We should experiment.  Display the link to half of the userbase and hide it from the other half.  Run a statistical analysis, maybe a multiple linear regression model with a bell-shaped curve, and let's see what we get.

^ yeah this complaints supposedly necessitated that thread so I'd say no however it does highlight how Arnox treats legitimate complaints by users with dismissiveness and ridiculous poorly thought out measures

What's funny, is how Arnox himself brings so much attention to the thread....then cries and moans because people are actually using it.


Also, the irony doesn't escape me.....but considering THIS very thread we are on right now.....if a regular user had created it, there is a good chance they would have been infracted because of Arnox's current attitude, along with NIMFing the thread because "it wasn't posted in the proper section/thread".

Actually, I think it's served its sole purpose quite well no matter how many posts go into it.

People kept thinking it was about suppressing complaints and hate when it was really just made to made things more efficient and less repetitive and annoying. In that regard, it's done an amazing job.

You're talking about the actual posts made in it. Those we can't and won't do anything about. To do so would be to actually start suppressing complaints and hate. However, ask yourself this. What would you rather see? One thread being bumped a lot or a whole bunch of the same threads created over and over again with the same drama and nonsense in them?
