So many things things fucked up here that it's hard to choose. I'm going to go with the culture of willful ignorance.

For every show like Cosmos, there's a whole network full of Kardasians. For every student that gets into college, there's a dozen rednecks that go off about how they 'didn't need no skoolin.' We have congresscritters that object to math that has fancy letters in it.

I'm sorry, but how can you talk about television and education in the same post and expect to be taken seriously?  It's called 'programming' for a reason.  Who the fuck even watches TV these days?  I watch Doctor Who and The Walking Dead online for purely entertainment reasons, but that's it.

As for college.  College is a debt scam perpetuated by the government and the education industry to turn mediocre retards into debt slaves.

As I was growing up and was taught about the history of the US, I literally thought it was the best country in the world. Then came the harsh reality. Everything changed once I realized how sugarcoated everything was. Not gonna lie the whole 'freedom' image is pretty badass but if only we were really free....
