No, and that feeling is called 'fear'.

Not really, it just seems like a logical inevitability

The thing with the past is that you are supposed to learn from your mistakes and move on.  If your past is outpacing your present, you might as well lie down and die.

Maybe but that's not really the context I'm thinking of. I just feel "small world/city" and someone will try to shoot me eventually for little to no reason. I can't move out the city until 2016 but I've done so much to distance myself from my previous associates and lyfe that it's been pretty easy so far but I still feel like something could happen when I least expect it. I don't even go to the parts of the city I used to live in unless I'm driving though

Absolutely, but that's the way life works. That's why you should try to not fuck people over and give them a reason to shoot you,  You can't live in fear or walk around in Kevlar your whole life.  Personally, I don't really fear anything.  I mean, I may be a bit naive, but I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky type of dude.  I try not to fuck with people or disrespect people, and life, well, you could die at any moment, so really, what is there to worry about?  Breathe until you stop.

I have a theory on how my city drives people crazy. There's some historic context to it as well. I considered making a heart-wrenching movie about it then realized I have no interest in film. Would produce and write it though.

Anyways, my city is basically hell but I love it and would feel like a faggot for abandoning it even if it swallowing me alive instead of just loudly chewing me like it has before is the end result. I think when I buy a house it's going to be about an hour outside the city in an area where enemies don't frequent and real estate is cheap and its all rednecky good natured and trusting white people and 16 year old girls get pregnant by 30 year olds so thats pretty cool

Truly though, for anyone involved in crime on a daily basis for any length of time, there is a palpable feeling of the walls closing in, of the rats beginning to nibble in hunger...Fear & loathing.
