Wouldn't it have been better to find a way to get rid of the dirt so a employee doesn't find it and reports it which may lead to cameras being checked etc..

So what if they find it, they either won't know or won't care why there is dirt in the brand new trash can.  If they do know and care, then what?

So what if the security people review the cameras hours after you have left.  They won't, but so what if they did?  Most of the cameras in the stores are in high risk areas or watching their own employees.  Just do your thing in a lower risk area if you don't like the cameras looking at you.  I never worried a bit about a camera, and I did ok.

Unless you are a known troublemaker or wanted for something anyway, the cops won't know who the fuck you are.  The crime is not big enough and there is too much work involved.  Cops can be fucking lazy fucks just like everyone else.

Your last two posts illustrate part of the problem of this endeavour.  Who to sell what to?  It depends a lot on what store you are planning to 'work' in.  One of the hardware stores in my town does not have 'door alarm' EAS systems, so I would get just about anything I wanted, including dremels, security cameras, and electric drill batteries.  The other stores have the EAS so I would go for like saw and sawzall blades, brass/copper items, drill bits, and anything small, expensive, and not tagged.

Yeah, you may think it is beneath you to steal copper fittings, but do you have another way that you can leave your house with nothing but the clothes on your back, and come back less than an hour later with over 100$?  If so I want to hear it.

SWIM wants to play the newest pokemon games. SWIM needs to get a hold of a nitendo 2ds or 3ds from a store . Any advice you can give to SWIM regarding that?

Hi, my first post here :)
I've been hitting up the outdoor adventure store called REI, getting sleeping pads from them. A Thermarest NeoAir Xtherm (in regular size) retails for $180, easily wraps around your torso (done in the fitting room) and secured with an ace bandage. They sell fucking QUICK on eBay for $180, the large size sells for $260. There are many different brands, sizes, and types of sleeping pads and they're all super easy to get by wrapping them around your torso and wrapping yourself with an ace bandage. I've NEVER seen a security tag on any of them. I also use the ace bandage to wrap shirts around my calves (again, while in the fitting room) pretty regularly.

Today I was scared shitless by Kohl's impressive security measures.

Like, fuck.

How would one theoretically get RFID chips out of clothes?

Where was it sewn into the clothing item at? In a tag that can be cut out? Pics?

I wasn't sure how to find the really small tags without cutting things up entirely to where they would look awful. Also haven't seen anything like that in any other store, I live in a small 20k person city, everywhere else is just cake.

Cutting won't trigger? I've also heard stabbing the chip with a needle will work.

That wouldn't actually be the chip you're stabbing, it'd be the antenna. If you interrupt it close enough to the chip itself, that will work. If you stick the pin thru once and just hit the center of a trace you won't break it. It'll still function.

I wonder if anybody's tried folding them up? The antenna is a coil which harvests electricity to power the chip from coils in the sensor bars. If a coil is folded up, theoretically there won't be an induced current. Literally just fold it in quarters.
Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy.
