I'd have to concede that fang shouldn't have been spamming the link across multiple discussion threads, but a one week ban for that is ridiculous. A stern warning would have sufficed. Even better, just chatting with him about it in a friendly manner with some genuine reason and sensible logic would have actually accomplished something. All Arnox is accomplishing with this move is driving the userbase even more against him, and that will lose him even more members than banning adverts to other BBS sites.

Yep. I knew. The whole thing is utter bullshit. Arnox comes in a day late and a dollar short and two members are illegitimately banned. According to Arnox's own standards, he should now be required to remove himself from the staff, since he "holds the staff to the highest of standards". Obviously, that "highest standard" was deliberately missed in this case.

Truth be told, he was spamming his pitch all over a bunch of threads across the entire board, but did anyone on the staff actually ask him to stop, or did they just stand there silent and ban him once it reached a certain level? That's a question I think I already know the answer to, considering how the helladamleet and fang accounts were mistreated. I'll lay money there was no real line of communication opened with him on the subject at all, and that now we're gonna get a steady stream of bullshit about how that was actually tried.
