I'm disappointed that no one speculated on my possible suicide. Woah, my last post before this one was on the 15th. I didn't know it had been that long. Spilled water on my laptop keyboard and waited a few days for a new one rather than going out and buying an external one to use temporarily, in part because I am a shut-in. First time in my life I've ruined a keyboard. Very cheap to replace via ebay. Protip: If it ever happens to you, immediately turn it upside down and turn off the power/disconnect the power source, then allow it to dry (don't use a hair drier). Couldn't get into windows, only linux, due to dual booting, and didn't have access to my passwords, resetting not being an option. Took the time as an excuse to do other things.
What if the reason for the fermi paradox is that once a singularity occurs the artificial intelligence is eventually able to find a way to leave this universe/dimension and never return? What if it could somehow receive information about and sift through the multiverses, possibly even entirely different planes of existence that are radically different, choosing one that is essentially its version of heaven? I remember watching a program on PBS, possibly Nova, years ago and a segment speculated on the possibility of being able to use gravitons for communication through the multiverse. Nowhere near qualified to comment on this.

He's a theoretical physicist who then focused on psychometrics and has/is working with the company in China doing the GWAS study to find which genes are correlated with intelligence. His claim of a 1000 IQ may be unrealistic and it ignores the messiness of human biology, gene-gene interactions, but there really is no reason why this is unlikely to eventually work and give rise to humans far more intelligent than have ever existed. www.infoproc.blogspot.comIn the book "The 10,000 Year Explosion" there's a section that examines mutations/genetic disorders found in Ashkenazi Jews which may provide a large IQ boost, possibly around 10 points for one of them. The effects they have make this seem feasible and could lead to cognitive enhancers that actually work. The studies to prove the correlation would be very easy to do, but of course no one has done them due to things being the way they are. You should read that part; if you ever think of a possible way to or find something that could elicit the same effect let me know. Better you do this now so you won't miss any possible connections as you come across them.
