I used to get shit sent to my mom's house all the time when I lived there back in Florida, and I'd just keep on top of the tracking and an eye on the mailbox or ear open for the mail truck (very distinct sound) on the days she happened to be home at that time, and I'd make sure I grab it first. Most of the time, she was working when the mail would come, though.
