Yes, but as I stated earlier, this was merely a method to link the different burglaries together. They obviously don't have his ear in a database. But they were able to pull prints from each crime scene and match them up.
Well, I know for a fact that they look for ear prints on doors here in Germany and do have databases. The police in Hamburg has a database of over 1000 individual earprints.
