I stepped down as a mod of Zoklet several years ago when the outcome for the site became inevitable. I gave no explanation at the time because there's only so long you can piss into the wind before the laundry bill becomes financially crippling.

Was it because your fellow mods were banning everyone, or another reason?  Curious.  And I thought you modded the humanities forum?  Wonder why I have that wrong.

Yeah, well, if you'd been keeping score you'd know that Lanny is unsuitable for any staff position, being a known and chronic PI-rat. Zanick already sold out to the hive mentality on Zoklet, so there's no reason to trust him with any kind of authority.

Nobody that modded on zoklet should be able to mod here because they were all terrible. This place is supposed to be a fresh start why bring the same regime back.

The infraction system was over used/abused by a significant number of mods. Despite this reflecting badly on the entire team, the mods as a group never 'banned everyone'.

....or another reason?  Curious. 

By accumulation I've written a small pamphlet on this topic, I'm not going to go through more of the same. Suffice to say Zok tried to build a culture around himself that ultimately served a few and fucked over many. When I realized, far too late TBH, that his position was never going to change I left his staff.

This is quite understandable. Numerous reports have indicated my presence as a poster can be felt from several forums away. This feeling usually manifests itself in an inexplicable desire to kill something cute and harmless; puppies, kittens, the occasional small child.

I do feel guilty about it sometimes.
