On the whole, I think this was a good idea.. As I skimmed over all the posts I seen you were considering a 3 day wait time on gaining access for new registrations.. not a bad idea either. I noticed a bunch of these alts being created.. I'd message the new members who hadnt made any posts and said "Hey, seen you been on here for a while, you should posts more.. we need more opinions around here".. As to the rest of what you said, yes, optimization can help a little bit but at the end of the day, we need content and Google spiders are made by pretty darn smart people. If there's good content, they will find it.
