No its a good thing citizens have guns.

Do you realize that if we banned guns tomorrow, they would be popping up in the hands of criminals every day for the next hundred years?  Do you realize just how many guns are actually out there?  There is no getting rid of them, ever.  There are still guns from WWII stockpiles being used in armed conflicts right now, this very second.

People should be allowed to own guns imo.  But we as a society should be working to make them obsolete and unnecessary.
