Yeah, but in your case you DO have limits in "how" you criticize....you take the safer approach. My position is this:  As long as a post does not get anyone else in legal trouble or does damage to the forum or someone's brick-and-mortar business or real life....and as long as it isnt spam or in an obviously wrong place, then who cares what someone posts?  And even if it is in the wrong place, just move it, don't fucking ban people.

Was it because someone made Mod again that some members didnt approve of, or was there some serious bans that were undeserved? I'm a little foggy on the initial specifics in the first place.. I just hate mindless bitching and moaning, and obviously.. I think I've missed the point myself.. but atleast I'm starting to understand.

The phrase "mindless bitching" actively condemns said bitching, and none of those staff failures have happened here yet. Premature ejaculation on the part of the bitches (a precedent which normally leads to that bitching being ineffective when it's actually needed, which is why non-primary communities like zoklet et al really fail).

That doesnt justify it. As readily as infractions are handed out for trivial nonsense something as serious as a mod fucking with a members account in that manner deserves more than nothing.

It's not like I just suddenly decided to change his name on a whim.  He was making fun of me for taking my impending (or so I thought) name change so seriously, saying that I needed to learn how to take a joke.  And he told me that I could make a thread about changing his name to prove that he could take a joke.  I added an "e" to his name for maybe 10 minutes before changing it back, and I thought he'd just laugh about it.

At the time it didn't seem like a big deal at all.  I will not be making that mistake again, yikes :/

That shows you don't have the ability to mod any sort of reputable site. If you can't differentiate between what is and isnt appropriate interaction between site staff and the member base, this isnt your thing. Playing with the mod controls because you can doesn't mean you should. Manipulation of a users info, no matter how you attempt to justify it, is never appropriate. What you did is what any typical kidiot would do when all of a sudden they discover they have some sort of ability everyone else doesnt...and that they can use those abilities as an advantage in interactions with others
