Because obviously to be a good moderator you have to hold the majority opinion. Everyone knows that's historically been the case too, right?
This isn't about "majority" at all.....instead fitting into the culture and purpose of the website as a collective whole. Zek fits in here as much as a bible thumping Christian would at The Burning Man Fest. If his lone purpose to being there is to troll IRL, and only bring attention to himself all the while shitting on everyone else's experience....then he has no business being there. Period.
Which brings me to another important point. If Zek had ANY care or concern for this website thriving and attracting more people, he would have had enough social awareness by now to step down from his mod position and fix Arnox's mistake for him. But again, for Zek this is NOT about "what is best for Sanctuary".....instead totally feeding into his attention whoring and trolling.
We can't even quantify Zek as being a "polarizing figure" in a mod position....because that would imply there is a 50/50 division (or something close to it) in regards to the opinion of the userbase with this creep being a mod. The scales are so grossly imbalanced at this point, anyone else with a shred of common sense or self-awareness that actually DID care about the website's progress would do the right thing and just move on. Instead, Zek is thriving on all of the attention/validation his status brings him.....and both him and Arnox don't give a fuck in the least if the entire website burns to the ground because of it.
