I hardly see a problem there with equanimity's responses. Even in terms of posting quality. And in that entire speech, I don't see any accusations of moderator abuse in there whatsoever. At the end of the day, you see what you want to see.

In fact, that goes for everyone that's complained so far. Not just SotB.

To merge a shitload of hate threads for an individual is one thing, but to try and merge all general staff hate comments into a single thread is simply an abuse of authority and shows an incredible level of butthurt on the part of the staff. Nobody is going to respect incredible butthurt on the part of the staff.

Not to mention the elephant in the room, namely that 'hating the staff' is a salient aspect of this community, and to try to supress it will be impossible.

Slave, I choose not to respond because arguing with you any further is a waste of my time, and yours.  I responded to you in that other thread, and you decided to ignore what I had to say in favor of repeating what you had already said.  As to why I'm concerned you might ban people?  I'm a little wary of anyone associated with DaGuru and SpectraL.  They want everyone banned, and they want you modded.

You seem to be addicted to forum drama.  Please get back to the humanities boards, for everyone's sake.

I haven't seen Equanimity/HandOfZek put in any bad bans or bad infractions. And if a person is fucked up, why should we really care? As long as they aren't affecting valid content or valued contributors, I don't see what the fuss is about. The way I look at it, we could have a mouthbreathing mental midget as a mod and we'd be fine as long as they don't fuck up. The only thing I really have against Equanimity/HandOfZek is that he/she supports Lanny - a known and proven power abuser and remorseless &Totse traitor of the worst kind. Guilt by association, in my books. But that has nothing to do with the issue of him/her modding here. That's just a personal gripe between me and him/her.

It's ok though I get that the only thing you can come up with is that I'm butthurt. I'm clearly the only person that thinks you're an incompetent moron... oh wait but that's not the case. You've already lost basically every user from &T2 with how fucking unlikable you are, and you are working at a record speed of making a community who had no prior interaction with you hate you and run away screaming too. I come here to talk about various interesting topics with a wide variety of people.   Different people bring their unique viewpoints with them.  The general staff behavior that I have observed lately is not attractive.   In fact,  I believe many would find it repulsive and repulsive behavior will drive people away.  Inevitability the variety of viewpoints to discuss and argue over will diminish until there is no real point in discussing anything,  and no point in coming here.  Therefore,  for the sake of our community and the spread of free information, I sincerely hope this does not happen.

If it does, I would say the staff would be at fault.  The staff should not censor or propagate any particular opinions.   The purpose of a mod is to organize the forum.  It should not be treated as a club for privileged people.   It is a responsibility and obligation to ensure the survival and growth of our community.

If you want something to grow, give it good soil to grow in.  Treat it well and it will become something unique and beautiful all on it's own.  If you decide you want to shape and design it and keep it under your control,  you will probably end up killing it.

Obviously, Arnox is just trying to find a way to stop all the off topic posting going on in and around where equanimity is posting, but he's coming at it all wrong. We used to have an unwritten rule: that if a member visibly stalks another member around the threads, and there's solid proof, the stalker can be banned for playing kidiot games. If we didn't have this rule, a member could be unfairly prevented from posting in any forum or any thread, because he or she would immediately be set upon by some brainless kidiot just out to attention-whore itself against that particular member. We wouldn't want to group all people who have critical but constructive opinions to share, but at the same time we wouldn't want kidiots to hound a certain member throughout the boards, because that unfairly denies the person being hounded by the kidiot from posting freely.

this is common knowledge of how sites like this are run and he has people here that know/left knowing how to do this stuff right and were ignored

Sorry to the one to break this to you, but grouping the entirety of critical comments directed toward the staff is certainly a serious form censorship.
