What do you do with old video games?
« on: October 12, 2014, 06:21:28 pm »
I have some old console and PC games that I never play anymore, but I can't bring myself to get rid of them. Whether it's console or PC, what do you do with your old video games? Keep, sell, donate, trash?

I had a Gamecube, PS1, PS2, N64, Megadrive, Master System and NES with about a million games.

It was just a pain to move from house to house so I sold them all about 5 years ago

I keep all my old games and play them from time to time. Sometimes I'd rather play using the original game pad rather than a keyboard..

Collect them and keep for a couple of years. Those things will be worth hundreds when our laptops become obsolete and we're all using Google Glass.

To -SpectraL, you're one of the only people here who can insult Arnox without ramming it down his throat.

To Arnox, fuck you.

Donate them here before deleting... a huge archive of old games that's been up for some years now.

I keep them. I'll even occasionally buy video games on the cheap just to add to my collection. I don't even particularly play them.. besides the occassion week or two in the winter time when I go on house lock. I figure I'll have kids that'll appreciate them one day, they may be worth something as an antiquity, or.. I might just want to rock it old school.

Didnt bother reading the other posts to see if anyone else posted the systems they current own, but.. I will nonetheless. Not thaRegular Nintendo (only 1 game, that came with it when I bought it from an antique store.. none other than Mike Tysons Punch Out), Nintendo Wii (Red Anniversary) regular Xbox, and Xbox 360.. I'd like to pick up a few more different ones.. Sega Genesis, SNES, 64, ect.. Blah.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.

Just put them neatly into bookcases.  It's great being surrounded by books and games :)

From google:

A lot of people maybe don't have the room for this, but you have to admit it looks nice.

It was always a problem with Mega Drive and Master System games that they were so big
