Me and my daughter and ex took the dogs to the woods to run. There is an old graveyard in the area with death dates on the gravestones from the mid-1800's. My daughter had never seen it, so we took the dogs to go look at the old gravestones. It was at the top of a wooded hill, and as we neared it, I knew we were close because I saw a grave statue, the back of one, of some catholic saint or something. It looked like it was made of terra cotta, or was the same color, or something. I was walking my boxer and she was walking my beagle/pit mix, and my ex was in the car looking at her smartphone or some shit.
When we got to the top of the hill and walked into the graveyard, my daughter nodded to me and silently mouthed the words 'there is someone here'. This place is pretty deserted and I have never ever seen anyone in there. I looked over at what she was looking at and I saw what looked like some guy, wearing tan robes and mourning over a grave. I only glimpsed it for a second, but I felt like I was interrupting something and felt like I should just leave, so I waved her over and we walked back downhill to exit the area. I saw my ex coming up the path and I hand-motioned for her to go back down. As we met her, my daughter told her 'there is someone up there' and we were at the point where I originally saw the grave statue. I saw the statue again and pointed it out, saying 'look at -' but I never finished my sentence because my daughter said 'Its moving!' and it was.
What I thought was a statue was not a statue, it was alive. It was huge, too. It looked like it was wearing some sort of very old vintage clown suit, I could even see clothing lines and black-rimmed ruffles. Very old and very dirty. I said 'Look its a clown!' and the girls began screaming and ran to the van. I was sort of joking, but I guess they have been watching some show about circus freaks or some shit, and there was some evil clown, but whatever. After we met at the van, my daughter said that when we initially entered the graveyard, she saw its face, and it looked like an old man with chalk white flaky or textured skin. She also described the clothing texture as 'burlap'. We went home and I got a pistol and we drove back, but it had been 45 minutes and there was nothing there. Not even any shoe prints around where we saw it. I still don't know what I saw, but it was humanoid, huge, and it moved very calmly and smoothly.
