I hang out with two people I've known since I was 16 but don't really like that much anymore, lol. One is a compulsive gambler because he stopped doing drugs and has OCD and Anxiety so bad he can't drive a car but owns a house and bought every coin from the Canadian mint over the last like 3-4 years. The other one literally sells weed for his mom, works a dead end job and lets his juno award winning GF run his lyfe. Both are white and I've considered whether they were "good" influences on me and decided they were. Racism seems really stupid to me. When I was 15 I got suckerpunched and had to get stitches because I mouthed off to a black guy but never thought "what a nigger." In fact, a guy I know was surrounded by a bunch of them and the one who punched me, punched and robbed him and when we were drinking later he was talking "nigger this, nigger that" and I was disgusted and wanted to punch him. I was talking about people I still keep in touch with years after knowing. I purposely distanced myself from all my friends last year when I got here on hose awrist to ensure I abided by my conditions and didn't go back since all my friends are criminals and idiots. I chill with people at uni but I wouldn't call them friends. I run into people all the time who want to hang out and don't  because I quickly assess there is no value to the relationship besides gay social chilling and I ate and digested the fact that I'm almost entirely motivated by selfishness long ago. I'm not really shy but I pretend to be sometimes if I think it'd be beneficial for me to appear that way "hey gurl I don't normally talk 2 random ppl but you seem pretty cool" "I'm not gonna say anything for a bit then say something that assesses the situation succinctly because smalltalk is gay"
