Maybe I'm wrong in the kind of vibe/culture you want to create here, Arnox....maybe I've misread everything. In essence, if you want the ambiance of maybe a gardening club or some old ladies Tuesday afternoon bridge game, then sure Zek/Equanamity is your MAN. But for controversial subject matter with difficult (if not outright crazy) personalities of a vast mosaic of demographics? I'd swear this was an intricate troll/April Fool's Day/you were just bored and wanted to have a few laughs.

The only "vibe" I want to create here is one of freedom of speech and information. We are not trying to win a Who Can Be The Most Hardcore contest. Totse grew hardcore BECAUSE of how much it allowed anyway, not because that was the image they were actively trying to foster.

I have no interest in who mods this place other than that they do a good job. A couple of obeservations though, Arnox, assuming I've read your post correctly:

1) You suggest that by allowing freedom of speech and information, which is your stated objective for this site, a 'hardcore' environment naturally evolves. This implies the current 'hardcore' environment on Sanctuary will at the very least be maintained if not encouraged.

2) Having established nature of this site's environment in the current and near future, what do you say to DaGuru's claim Equanamity is an unfit personality to mod such an environment? You have not engaged with him on that point.

This is a perfect summary of Zek's legacy all these years on message boards. And while I'll be the first person to light a torch burning 5.56 at the stake, and believe section specific bans are uncalled for 98% of the time....Zek WAS the poster boy for someone that rightfully earned that status (probably should have been forum banned in a lot of other sections too).

Arnox, can you give just a few finite examples that led you to this observation? We understand, its your site and you can do whatever the hell you want....but notice how Rocklin isn't getting any grief to any great degree, whereas your decision on Zek has created a "WTF?" moment in the minds of the majority of the userbase.

The old saying comes to mind...."common enemies make strange bedfellows"....and it is quite amazing how you've actually found a topic that can somewhat "unite" a userbase where there is common agreement about any topic or decision. We won't even have to do anything. Zek is a disgusting, gender bending faggot. It is notorious for being conceited, delusional, selfish, vain and stupid. All these traits combine make it so that every few weeks or months there's a guarantee it will have a melt down, do something stupid and self harming and leave the site - only to return a while later and repeat the process over again.

It happened on Zoklet every single time it made a new user name. It's a disgusting, biological error. It abandoned it's children. It's a fucking disgrace. The fact a human being so vile could actually exist in this world actually makes me feel faint. The most pathetic thing is that it tries to change it's behavior, but inevitably fails each and every time. Then, like I said before, it has a melt down - leaves the site...and returns a long while later, wash, rinse, repeat.

I don't see any similarity in posting styles or any memory of certain zoklet events, to indicate that this is zek.  They also argue way differently, and as I have typed countless times, zek hated my guts and it is not like it is a big secret who I was at zoklet, there is no way he would interact with me here like this equaniminnanity (whatever) person does.  If this equa-whatever person was zek he would put me on ignore or type stuff like 'don't talk to me' like he did at zoklet.  But if you guys want to think that this is zek, nothing I type will change your minds.  Have fun.

You know what guys, the truth is, I think if I made ANYONE from Zoklet a mod here, I can almost guarantee that no matter who it was, you guys would have something bad to say about that person.

I understand. I wasn't there at Zoklet. I don't know who anyone was there or what they did.

But I can tell you what I did. I was a crap poster too. I was a cringe-worthy one who didn't know what he was doing at all. I earned some enemies long past. Some people really did not like me. I guess my point is, people can change.

And even further, I just love how you all immediately go off the word of some random guy on the internet and just assume he is right about equan being Zek, no matter if he's right or not. All I know is, equan is one of the nicest posters on this site. And you know what? She's got problems. But I have problems. And you have problems. The point is, can she moderate well and fairly despite her problems? I believe so.
