Iceland is very very far away from Africa and the people had to adapt to the environmental changes (For example less melanin was required to protect the skin from the sun) to get that far away from Africa. They also developed their brains differently because of their different diets.

Sloths and Koala bears only move so slow because leaves don't provide much energy. Give them protein and their brains and bodies will evolve.

Lactose intolerance is another good example.

The frequency of lactose intolerance ranges from 5% in Northern European areas (Great Britain, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Iceland) to 71% in Italy (Sicily) to more than 90% in some African and Asian countries. No, I try to accept things as they are.  It can be difficult sometimes, because reality is often painful and cold.  But we're all a part of this greater whole, or... rather, we don't exist as individuals as we think we do.  Our relationships with other people, creatures, plants, everything are really more than seem.  If one atom found deep in the earth's crust were not in existence then none of us would be.  Nothing could exist without it, because we're all inter-dependent upon one another and everything.
