I could also go more into detail about the "WE HAVE TOO MANY MODS THAT HAVEN'T LOGGED IN FOR MONTHS SO LETS MOD ITZZZALICE AND SHE MAGICALLY DISAPPEARS" if you want also the whole "lets give the users the idea of choice by nominating mods giving them the illusion of choice"

I'm with my people and I will stand by my people. Inb4waterbottle does nothing and mizled has to take all the heat

If everyone had of put their foot down and said no more bullshit or we all quit the staff, they wouldn't have had anyone to run the BBS.

Sorry to interject in y'all's drama (that's how folks say things like that down here in the south), but I must interject. One of the biggest life lessons one needs to learn is that everyone is dispensable in almost all situations, especially at a work site, and even more especially on a BBS. The only people who are indispensable are family. That is all.

That's not true at all.  It's the BBS or job that is dispensable.  I play along until I get tired of the bullshit and then I just go somewhere else.  Someone will always pay me for my hard work.

Also spectral wouldn't the ultimate bitch move be to resign and say "I can't change shit" or to keep trying like I did. Think about that. I'm not hating on you just debating. I think you have the complete wrong idea about me.

Realizing the reality of the situation a long time ago, as Spectral and other former Totse users did through hard experience, was a smart move; with all due respect you're the one who got sucker-punched.

What does being new have to do with gleefully running around putting bans on people's accounts upon the announcement of the closure?

You gotta keep in mind that alot of stuff I was not aware of due to being so new.

You WERE aware because plenty of people tried to tell you, you just chose not to listen. You were so enamored by "fitting in" with the moderators and being part of the staff....you just brushed off the Zoklet detractors and labeled them as shit stirrers/troublemakers while turning a blind eye to the truth. That is why when you continue to reference yourself as "the people's mod" it is quite comical. More like "the staff's sheep"....because at the end of the day you allowed politics and the chase of being part of the clique blind you to obvious facts staring you right straight in the face.

Kroz happened way before this happened and it was a bad call and a mistake which I reversed. I didn't fully understand the auto ban system.

Daguru - I'm not going to argue with you on your point your right on alot of things. I'm man enough to admit when I was wrong but I'm telling you all no I didn't ban anyone when I went on my infract/warnin spree I made sure not to do that because poast didn't wan me to fuck up the migration and I didn't want to either

Name one situation where someone wouldnt be disposable

The fact is...there arent any. Every one is disposable....no one is indispensable in any situation

People go to extreme measures for the ones they love.  People will often make sacrifices they wouldn't ordinarily make or do things they wouldn't ordinarily do to preserve those they love.  I suppose one could also develop a high enough level of empathy to treat others as family as well, and be willing to make the same sacrifices for them.  An example would be brothers in arms.

Now, your proposal is a bit more primal than that.  When it comes down to it, if you can separate your mind far enough from the relationship, then I suppose one could sacrifice the well-being of anyone, including family, in the name of self-preservation.  One of our biggest weaknesses as a species is the ability to care, love, sympathize, empathize, whatever you want to call it.  Think about all the superhero movies.  The bad guys always get a leg up by attacking the heart of the good guys.  Attacking the mind can be much more effective than a physical attack.

So yes, on a primal level, there is no situation in which no one is disposable.  It just depends if you have anyone that you would choose to jump in front of a bullet for and be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.
