Every girl in my life has turned to drugs.
« on: September 24, 2014, 07:11:35 pm »
I'm not saying I'm against drugs, or even their use for that matter, but literally every girl in my past that I was even remotely serious with has become a full blown junkie addict. Mostly meth and heroin, as these particular ones are prevalent in my area.

I'm not saying drug use is bad, if you buy a case of beer on a friday night and cop an 8th of bud and a gram of coke, I'm not going to bitch and preach and try to stop you. I'm talking about girls who send their kids to school with holes in their shoes because the last sixty bucks to their name was spent on scoring. Getting high is a 24/7/365 occupation to them, it's so ridiculous I imagine circus music playing in the background as they hunt for a fix.

I pretty much understand how addiction and the desperation that comes with it works, what I'm asking is, what does this say about me as a person? Do I generally attract weak minded/vulnerable people? Or is it that they are drawn to me in particular?
I used to be a heavy drinker/party goer, so obviously drug use is going to come with the territory, but you have to stop and ask your wtf went wrong when literally every significant other in your past turns out that way...flames/advice appreciated.

It doesn't say jack shit about YOU as a person, you have to remember you are dealing with emotionally unstable and hormonally unbalanced creatures. As I just said in SG about an hour ago, the longer you live and deal with women (as lovers or just knowing them) you'll learn to have less respect for them as the years go by.

Women need constant validation, and for them its always about nurturing their comfort levels..."feeling good". And it ain't just junkies crawling around in the gutter, even the yuppie soccer moms are headcases that can't ever seem to get enough. Whether trying to fix something/someone or taking up whatever petty "cause" most women are not content in the least. The hardcore drugging is just an extreme case of the "I need to feel good today" mindset, and really isn't that many levels different from the housewife with a stable family, a lovely home, and all the trimmings but still needing "more" to get that validation/ego stroke.

Seriously, show me one woman that isn't on some quest of..."I need to lose weight, I want a better career, I want to have kids/more kids, I want a better man, I want to redo the living room, etc."....the females that are truly content with their lives on any level at all are few and far between. Literally looking for a needle in a haystack.

Its women dude, they are all pretty much batshit insane....and like I tell my wife so often over the years in the midst of whatever spat..." quit FEELING, and start THINKING!". Usually it always falls on deaf ears no matter what female we are talking about, so stop taking it personal and realize it truly is the nature of the beast.

Maybe you just need to leave the party scene or start hanging with a different group of people. I don't see anyone past college the college age that parties as 'cool'. There comes an age where you need to grow up. I'm not saying you have to give up drugs but just not make them your top priority

You have to start limiting the women...  Like, find ones that are passionate about something, and preferably life in general, so they are less likely to want to stick a needle in their arm and lie around on a couch all day. I'm trying to find a female ninja who wants to train all day and fuck all night.  With that sort of tight schedule, we might be able to stop and smoke a bowl, but we just can't afford the downtime that comes with opiates.  As for meth...  Well, I just generally believe that people are already geeking the fuck out enough in this world, so I do not support stimulants in principle.
Smoke some weed and get laid!  Doctor's orders!

Wait, they've become a junkie when you started dating them or they were a junkie when you dated them?

If the former, I'm a little surprised they didn't try to get you into becoming one with them.

Kinda grey in that area. Most of them were casual party goers like me while we met/dated, you know just  occasional pain killers on a weekend, maybe smoke a bowl or something like that. Wasn't until I was mostly or completely out of their lives that they became the gutter, shoe string tying arm off type.

I never had the urge/drug binge mentality, not that I'm above anyone else, I've done my share, just not my cup of tea.

Ah, a perfect example of a dumb "man".

Yes, it's always women who are completely insane and hysterical and have no logical thoughts in their heads, right? They need to change. Not us men, with our rational thinking, and our testosterone and our need to fuck everything in sight, constantly compare dick size, and beat our chests to show how manly we are.

Did you ever think maybe a relationship is a give-and-take, with a balance needing to be struck between thought & emotion(among myriad other minutiae)? Do you know how completely stupid you must sound to your (most likely imaginary) wife when you tell her to stop feeling and start thinking? Has she ever told you to get out of your own narrow mind-view of the world and start reacting to life like a living being, and actually use empathy and your capacity to feel to understand your wife, or any woman?

It is much easier to bring a woman to follow your orderly, logical train of thought if you can connect with her on the level of her feelings, to make her feel like as if you understand and care about her. There is no way in hell any woman with a shred of self-confidence would allow herself to ignore all those warning signs about what her heart tells her just because you think you have some hermetically-sealed monopoly on logic & reason.

Furthermore, your claim against women "never being satisfied" and constantly on a quest for something else sheds less light on the psychology of women and sheds quite a deal more on the psychology of an old man with conservative (not the political kind) attitudes and rigid behaviors all dependent on the power of his logical mind which hasn't even been able to do anything except repeat itself like a broken record for the past 30+ years. The fact of the matter is, everyone wants to feel good (why you put that in quotation marks I'll never understand) and everyone wants to strive to find a better life for themselves.

The problem that certain people have with drugs or other strong, immediate reward triggers is that generally happiness is the result of doing some sort of work (that is, of expending energy and generally in a focused manner), but the hedonistic drug lifestyle (one devoid of any spiritual or ethical values or behaviors associated with drugs) becomes the work itself as well the reward. The happiness of travelling along a road is suddenly turned into the discontent of finding your destination. Soon you realize that the fun was in getting there, but now that you've arrived there's no journey left for you.

Not that you would understand any of this. You have shown quite well in this post that any sort of self-understanding or true insight into your psyche is absolutely anathema to your ego; in addressing the OP who is genuinely trying to find some wisdom in examining his own lifestyle, values, and choices that he's made as they're reflected to him by the women in his life. It's quite sad that the OP is probably half your age and has double your wisdom.

Your "logic" starts on a flawed and shaky foundation; that foundation central to your cognitive cathedral is "I, DaGuru, exist and therefore I am right," all else flows from that cornerstone and that is how we end up with you vehemently denying that the OP has any sort of flaw, foible, or novelty in his character that would attract him to the women mentioned. No, it definitely has to be ALL women.

Personally I have learned to respect women more as time has passed, not that it's been a smooth linear progression. You only think the way you do about women because you consider yourself to be a man. There is not enough empathy in you to even to begin to understand women, you're more likely to confuse culture pressures and stereotypes about women with the actual heart and soul of them. I've found that men are quite capable of being hormonally imbalanced (especially with all the estrogen we get from foods & plastics and such), hysterically insecure in their own egos (am I buff enough? is my dick big enough? is my car fast enough? can I outdrink enough people?), and likely to have no real idea of what they want from women in a romantic relationship. A lot of guys can't seem to decide whether they want a mother, a whore, a slave, or an actual partner.

Of course DaGuru has never been able to legitimately entertain the idea of an equal partner because his grossly bloated ego does not allow anyone to even approach his throne of ignorance.

But please continue giving advice Daguru, you are ever so good at it.

Good ole Rizzo.....when he first comes into a thread his contribution(?) is just a simplistic 4-channing one liner. But when someone that has given him so much butthurt over the years adds their constructive take, he drones on for paragraphs with hippy trippy drivel as his futile attempt to flame them.
