No, you don't, but you've indicated the site isn't going to grow until you have more staff to manage increased traffic. Are you prepared to take the initial risk on staff in order to expand the userbase? Do you agree that the alternative, i.e. doing nothing, is stagnation and eventual deterioration of the userbase?

I get the "fair" part....but you really lost me on the whole "calm" description. Especially when in the same paragraph you say you want people with a little bit of style to their posting. Oftentimes "calm" people are also quite lifeless, with little flair or passion for anything. And considering this is an adult BBS discussing all kinds of edgy topics, its not like you need some stoic image as if they were a receptionist at a major corporate company. If you really need a "calm" person as a candidate, chances are they are not very passionate about much either...and possibly don't even have the fortitude to kick ass and take names when it matters.

"Fair and balanced" is a decent and obtainable aspect to be searching for, but not many passive/calm people make the greatest of leaders or mentors....ESPECIALLY in a community made up of so many differing, eclectic and I dare say insane personalities in a place like this. Who could put a decent enough leash on this place without the community losing its image or edginess ? Mary Poppins or Mike Ditka?

What arnox is saying is, he wants someone just like him.  Neutral to the point of complacency, polite to the point of blandness, and with an ability to ruminate over a problem until it simply goes away.

Good/Fair credit.

I was a mod of Totse's most flame-ridden forum 'till the TTFN. I was a mod of Zoklet, before stepping down and leaving several years ago in the knowledge that the site's fate was sealed due to chronic mismanagement. My conduct in those roles, with regards to interacting with users as a member of staff, was beyond reproach. The idea that I have a burning desire to relive some kind of past glory by becoming a mod on this site is a joke. I'm not interested.

I ask these questions of Arnox because his answers will dictate how long this site can be expected to survive as an active forum.

I remember I made a thread "People who eye me suspiciously while walking through upscale neighborhoods" and the OP was "should fucking die" and we flamed each other for a while until I posted a pic that was supposed to be you but basically looked like a skinnier version of jeffhunter.jpg.

I'd make a terrible mod here, because I'd offensively and immediately permaban all the known kidiots, private information abusers, power abusers and other assorted wastes of good webspace, then I'd have fun banning all their alts as they appeared. I don't care at all about numbers like Arnox does.
