Watch me build a super computer
« on: September 13, 2014, 06:02:39 pm »
This thread will be over the course of a few months, I will slowly but gradually build a super computer that puts anything you've seen t shame. Monthly I will drop a new CPU, GPU and motherboard. Hopefully by January it will be capable of Z/bs

I will constantly update this thread. The problem I have with many things is:

1. Cable management (hence why I quit building pc's.
2. Cooling (thinking about building a 20x20Yard water tank that I will submerge the computer(s) in

Granted, but at the top range now, it'll still be 100s of time more powerful than the top of the range CPU next month. (once I have built the SC.)

To fix your problem: If you're mostly concerned with preformance and power, fuck style and make all your cables long so you can route them snuggly anywhere outside the case and out of sight. Submerging a computer in water? I'm assuming that was a joke. Do a normal CPU/GPU water cooling loop and then make one whole side of the case plate a refrigerator style heat sink.

No, it wasn't a joke, I am thinking about submerging it. It's much better than the water cooling that you are thinking of.
