Bump.

Spent two days in hospital. Prodded and poked by 5 different doctors. Theories included inflamed lymph nodes, inflamed bowel and a hernia. Bloods (CRP count was high), X ray and ultrasound taken. Apart from discounting kidney or gall bladder stones and establishing that there was a problem of some sort, the tests proved inconclusive. Pain subsided after a few days; now just a twinge when I move in certain ways. The last Doctor said she suspects, but couldn't prove without a CT scan¹, that it's a very small hernia that the ultrasound didn't pick up and if the symptoms return then they'll do a CT scan. If that still doesn't show anything up then they'll consider exploratory surgery. Joy.

She said in 30% of cases who present abdominal pain the cause remains undiagnosed! They simply call it 'non-specific abdominal pain'. Well whatever the fuck it was I hope it doesn't happen again.

does anything happen to cause it?  what about ejaculating? squeezing too hard or for too long when youre trying to take a dump?

Taking a shit can be slightly uncomfortable, but far less so than it did a week ago. As to what originally caused it, damned if I know. The pain initially occured whilst sitting on my arse posting here.

Not to piss on your parade but I've been to the hospital with intense pain. They couldn't find shit, sent me home and it went away. Fast forward two weeks - laser up my dick.

The only reason they can't find anything is they're all incompetent. Shameless incompetence is prevalent and the overriding factor in health and medicine today. The majority of them actually got their paperwork out of a CrackerJack box. You'd be better off to just stay at home than waste any time and risk handing yourself off to the literal chimps that have infested our health system.

Glad to finally see you back Slave, been waiting to see this thread bumped ever since we heard from you last time.

Did they tell you how invasive the procedure would be, if they do have to go with exploratory surgery? Speaking from experience, getting cut at the core can be a pretty nasty recovery period...obviously depending on how bad the surgery really is. A few years ago I had a foot of my colon removed because my diverticulitis was so bad, and I wasn't back to my old self fully mobile like normal until somewhere around 4-6 months later. I think it took me almost a month just to lift a gallon of milk without discomfort, it really is amazing the muscles you use in your abdomen even for the most mundane shit.

If they do recommend surgery, better ask the doc how laid up you'll be and how long it will effect your work and home life. It ain't fun in the least.

What side of your abdomen? If on the right, it could be a kidney stone. Sounds strange, but because you have blockage you end up having a buildup/pressure down and could be pushing into your stomach or intestines.
