Half the people online who answer for what sounds good or how they would like to imagine themselves end up with INTP or INTJ. It's especially funny when they're like "Oh I'm INTP/INTJ or INTx or whatever" without realizing that the function stacks of these types are totally not the same. But they never get that far because they're too busy jerking off to the MBTI's description of what an amazing genius sort they are. :D

As for me, I've checked over the functions and reports of thinking processes from others (not stereotypical descriptions) and it's definitely ISTP for me.

Hey guys it works better if you actually stay there a while. Don't worry, your AOL minutes won't run out.

Repeaters do their job but maybe that's not what you need.

What is the model of each router?

Is the Cisco router capable of 5GHz? Try switching to that. 2.4 is often congested.

You will need to hold the reset button probably for >10 seconds. All configuration will be cleared and the default credentials should now work.

Once you have access to the config, disable remote administration and administration over the wireless network (meaning you have to be wired to the LAN side of the router to access the admin page).

Did anything change in your physical environment? Any new solid objects in the way?

i did ipconfig, nobody is stealing my wifi or anything

An ipconfig will show you the properties of your adapter, nothing about who else is on the network. If you haven't been able to access the router's admin page, you'll have no idea if anyone is on your wireless.

Running cable is 100% effective in resolving wireless issues, but if you can't do that, just try the one with antennas.

The other thing is that the tests are not the best way to type yourself. The letters also mean little. The important things to understand are the functions indicated by the four letters you have together, and the best way to accurately type yourself is to determine your functions. If you want to really understand what's going on when you look at your "ISTP", for example (it isn't just "introverted sensing thinking perceiving), read:

http://www.reddit.com/r/mbti/comments/182ri9/comprehensive_mbti_post/ (please also take note of the part about what the MBTI does and does not indicate).

That said, the test at http://16personalities.com/ is the least sucky one I've found so far.

But I'm still not sure what I am.

There doesn't seem to be a way to get a list of subscribed threads with no e-mail notification. I usually browse forums through a mixture of that view and the new posts search. Dunno if anyone else cares about it.

Evaluate what you use the computer for and figure out whether you really need to be running Windows. If not, get into Linux and avoid most consumer-grade malware by way of incompatibility.

Otherwise, get Comodo Internet Security. Don't worry about the actual AV engine or firewall or any of that. Just use the bit that manages what processes are allowed to run. Start with a total blacklist and whitelist processes (their specific actions rather) as they try to run until all your usual stuff is allowed. Unknown processes attempting to run as well as files written in a driveby download will be caught. Don't approve blindly. Google the unknowns and you'll be golden.

Yes, alarms can go off even if the door doesn't open (or can't). Not sure which ones or how common they are.

I have one what.cd and at least one IPTorrents but I can't check until I get home.

Rationahl, you have anything on your end? Always nice to get new sources.

Supposedly INTP for most tests, sometimes INFP, less often ISTP, though none of this is reliable anymore as before long I knew how to answer to make it say whatever I wanted. Never can be sure if I'm answering for myself or for who I'd like to be.

MBTI is fun but try not to take it too seriously. Just a laugh, like the horoscopes, you know?

https://web.archive.org/web/20091213030016/http://plover.net/~bonds/keirsey_riff.html

Especially don't fall into the trap of trying to let it guide your life. Ooh, I'm an INFP, would I work well with this ENTP guy, what kind of job should I get, let me feed in some survey answers and you tell me how to be happy, blah di blah.

Regardless of what I think of the MBTI (not mine: (1) (2)) I was curious to see how this would turn out:
