In many provinces there aren't many french speakers but eastern Canada is full of them. "frog" is basically "nigger" to them and will provoke more aggression than calling an african canadian "nigger" (least around here). Everything has english/french translations, even on soup cans and stuff. If you live in an anglophone province the signs are all in english but products that are distributed nationally are subject to french language laws.
