Well hello

The lack of fancy code is nice and quick, but multi quoting was pretty cool, as directing straight to your post after posting rather than back to the thread. a phpbb or whatever it's called thing probably. Can't seem to take off email notifications either, but ey, it seems good here :)

I like the "show new replies to your posts" though, it's awesome.

Can't seem to take off email notifications either...

I find the best way to stop the endless stream of useless notifications is to create a filter rule in your e-mail account (Gmail, Hotmail, yahoo, etc..) that immediately sends it to the spam folder and then deletes it from there. After that, you never even see them, so it's as good as turning post notifications off.

I did see that already, but it doesn't specify whether the on/off notification capability refers to notifications of new content through the board or through e-mail or both. In VBul, if you disable notifications in your profile options, your notifications through VBul are also disabled, and since I wasn't sure what Simple Machines is referring to, I wanted to preserve my ability to receive notification of new content through this platform only.

What notifications through the board? If you are referring to the links at the top that say "show new replies to your posts," those still work if you disable notifications. The notifications box we're talking about only effects the email notifications.

Simple Machines should specify that then in the description of the option. In VBul, if you were to disable that option you would no longer receive in-board notifications of new posts. I've now disabled notifications there and thanks.

As the admin pointed out, you can also kill notifications through the notifications options >> http://www.intosanctuary.com/index.php?action=profile;area=notification

That response has no reflection at all on my post. That was an observation, not my opinion. Try again. Oh and this time see if you can do it without using the words ELL OH ELL, kiddiot, zoklet, ilk, PI, rat, attention whore, kill yourself, spam, moron, retard, any number between 10 and 20, or referring to the users UM, TDR, or any of your alts.

Go on. Do it. I dare you.
