Yours Truly has a problem. As far back as I can remember, or as far back as it's been able to become an issue, I've suffered from impotency. I spent the better half of my teenage years under the malevolent spell of erectile dysfunction, coming up with lies and excuses to save myself from utter humiliation. I've had to say it was everything from my blood thinning due to an imaginary medication to the sexual side-effects of anti-depressants. When I was 17 I tried to get help and remedy the situation -- but to no avail. I jumped through hoop after hoop trying to get seen by doctors even though I was a minor, and the few who I did manage to get to turned me down, laughed me off, told me to be abstinent, told me to wait until marriage, etc.
Now, of course this set Yours Truly off. Even at age 17 I lived alone, had a job and a car, and no longer attended high school. I was, as far as functionality is concerned, practically an adult. Being made fun of by medical professionals for seeking treatment for the condition that had been ruining so many opportunities for me was disheartening and, truthfully, enraging. I turned to every natural supplement in the book, pouring hours of research into trying to find a cure. I burned through entire paychecks buying supplements... most didn't work in the least, and the ones that partially did came with horrifying side-effects.
Yours Truly is now 18 and able to see doctors alone; I've scheduled an appointment with a urologist about a month from now, the soonest available, and am waiting in apprehension. I've been trying my best to pause and put off aspects of my social and romantic life, but I'm worried that it will all have been for naught and, due to my young age, the doctor I'm scheduled to see next month will simply laugh me off just like all the other ones before.
With that fear in mind, I've decided to not put all my faith into that one route. What would be the easiest way to get prescribed Viagra/Cialis outside of that plan, likely through a less-than-legitimate doctor? How would I find a doctor willing to prescribe me such medications without all the bullshit bureaucracy in-between? I've heard of doctors setting up such ease-of-access for people looking to obtain adderall, xanax, or painkillers... and, of course, I've heard of "special" doctors here in California who are more than happy to hand out a medical marijuana card to anybody who knows the right words to say.
Does anybody have any input or suggestions?
