I dunno if I'd make the jump to another new site.  There's a lot of pointless indignation and invented negativity here, and I'm kinda over it for now.  Not sure what you people have against hugboxes.  I don't even know if such a thing really exists, because in my experience those places allow mostly free expression and petty quarrels too.  You should see the vegan and paleo crowds go at it; that shit is intense.  But other places really seem to have more open-minded posters.  Kinda strange to me that so many people attracted to the ideals of free expression and speech are determined not to let their beliefs be challenged by outside forces.  Guess maybe I'm the last person who should be passing judgment for that.

It does seem that a disproportionate number in this crowd mistake things like openness for weakness.  Really

If freedom of speech in practice is meaningless drama then I'm fine without it.  Hugboxes are the future guys.  You can be perverted and crazy without people telling you to kill yourself.  It's pretty great.

Nah. Sub-reddits just don't have enough to really manage a userbase with a really encompassing goal like freedom of speech and information. Also, we'd kind of always be in the shadow of Reddit itself and our name would be attached to that site although I guess some people may not care.
