Okay, I have a few suggestions that I'd like to bring to attention here.
The orange color for this feature is fucking AWFUL. It works great when you're looking at a board, when there's something new that orange color draws attention to it and you notice it. But when you've got this annoying orange thing after
every single fucking post it can be a bit distracting no? At least for me it is- I use the default skin for this website. I have no idea what the other ones are like but on default it's annoying, I suspect this skin is what most people use anyway. If you take a look at a color wheel you'll see that it's two major progressions away from blue. That being blue to violet to red to orange. Take a look at everything on the other side of that wheel. Yellow, light green, those would be annoying too right?
The contrast being so prominent and drawing attention to something so unimportant is not only distracting, it's obnoxious. I would suggest grey or dark green or a different shade of blue (not light blue pls). In art there is something called negative space, wherever there is nothing occupying that is the negative space. Where there are designs is the positive. What you've done Arnox is put a big glowing orange block in the middle of the negative space, throwing out the rest of the work you've put into this design. It's in a horrible location. Off to the left, by itself. Why the FUCK is it over there? Move it to the right where the other options are and clear up that space visually, integrate it into the design you've already laid out. The color and location of this thing make it like a stop sign in the middle of the damned road. Imagine seeing stop sign after stop sign after stop sign IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING STREET, do you get what I'm saying?
Now- those are the design flaws. This is just stuff that I think would make the browsing experience a lot more sexier-er to the eye. I have a few suggestions as well that have nothing to do with this obnoxious design and more to do with my preferences. It should not be "like". Reddit has upvotes, facebook has likes, zoklet had thanks, do you see my point? There needs to be something original here or at least the continuation of the thanks which was specific to the community. I also think a visual graphic would suit this very nicely. Zoklet had a big THANKS button, it wasn't just text. It was it's own button. I think a small little icon would look great, there aren't any buttons per se and that's fine- it looks good. I actually kind of prefer it. But "Icon.jpg 'thanks/like'" I think would look a lot better than just simple text.
Anyway, yeah. Just your friendly neighborhood galm shitting his thoughts out.
Edit: Injecting sentences can lead to some nonsensical flow. Returned flow to main valves.
