Got a whip
« on: November 17, 2014, 06:09:33 am »
I wasn't expecting a whip this soon. As a matter of fact that it is what I was saving up for. Lucky for me my brother got a new one and he sold me his old one. Now my goal is to keep it in decent shape so I can get to my job without having to freeze my ass off in this subzero climate. I don't know shit about cars. I had to refer to the manual to make sure I was using the correct engine oil. I realized the manual is a lot more useful than any other manual I've come across thus far.

The fact that you aren't afraid to check the manual puts you ahead of half the people on the road.
I'll try anything once, and twice to be sure.

I've considered it, but I'd rather just smoke it. Finding a plug, customers and carrying a weapon to avoid being robbed or jewed just seems like a lot of work. I know I should only deal with people I can 'trust'.

98 Honda Accord

Should this not be in the 'Sex & Affection' section?

If by 5 speed you mean D1, D2, etc. then yes. It's in decent condition and I'm seriously so thankful, I'm just not looking forward to car problems. They are bound to happen. In fact just today I had a shitty situation. The car alarm remote was broken on the top and would always slip off my key chain. I was in such a rush to get to work on time that after arriving I quickly pulled my key out of the ignition and the remote went flying who knows where. I quickly searched inside my car and had no luck. After I got out of work I still could not find it and could not get the stupid alarm to shut the fuck up, the alarm would get even louder when I turned on the car. Luckily my manager and a guy from a nearby store who is a mechanic arrived and yelped me figure out a solution. Because there was no security alarm fuse to be found the guy ended up removing the horn fuse.

If it has two pedals and a gear selector that says "D1, D2", it's actually a 4 speed auto. In other words, the car is not a manual, which is slightly gay. But I'm guessing you don't care.

You're correct, it's an automatic. For now I don't care. I'll worry about that whenever I'm able to get a new car

Hey man, a car is a car is a car.. lol.. Better than hoofing it. Yea, just be sure to do your general maintenance. Given this cold snap and the begining the the real winter season approaching (err.. already here if you live further north), just make sure you put some anti-freeze in it.. when you go to put oil in, make sure you get the wintergrade.. aint nothing wrong with driving slow if you have bad tires (or even if you have good ones.. a wrecked vehicle is as good as no vehicle.. err.. if its tore up beyond quick repair).. I'm really glad to hear it though man. Been follwoing your progress on getting a job and gettin settled in to a new place..  Hope it keeps up. When something bad does happen, dont let it keep ya down.. Shit happens to all of us, on and off again throughout our entire lives. I only say this, because i just got though a rough spell.. its depressing when your progress slows down, but.. again.. nothing time cant cure.
