Im pretty sure its just fine to shoot someone who is assaulting you and grabbing for your gun. I don't understand how people can be of the mindset that an officer should NEVER shoot an unarmed person when that would literally mean if I went into a preschool and started kicking and punching toddlers to death and would not stop, the police would have to respond with "Well he isn't armed so shooting him isn't an option" no matter how many kids I have killed or have the potential to kill.

Just because someone isn't armed doesn't mean they aren't a lethal threat.

Tasers are actually not that safe. Over 500 people have died from tasers in the hands of law enforcement since 2001 and there is a 49% risk of injury to the person being tased. Theoretically they are a good idea but in practice no so much.

Yeah, I've seen the evidence. The autopsy report, fractured eye socket of officer, blood on his shirt, bullet hole through Mike's hand suggesting a grabbing motion (cop claims he was reaching for his gun) and gunpowder residue on it, bullet entries showing he didn't have his hands up, multiple Black witnesses corroborated cop's story, and in the videos of people at the crime scene many claiming he had his hands up later said things that showed they weren't even there ("I was in the shower", "I was a few blocks away and heard the gunshot").

My verdict: No chance of an indictment. I will be shocked if it happens. If it does, it wouldn't surprise me if light charges were orchestrated to prevent chaos, with him being released after things have cooled down a bit, if it's even possible/feasible for them to pull that off.

You have to remember:
1.) Some level of ethnic racial favoritism is natural, and some groups, one average, display this more strongly (Hint: It's not Whites). Blacks, particularly in the ghetto, will protect their own. The "no snitching" always side against the police mentality.
2.) With the media narrative of unjustified shootings and racism, which usually turn out to false or have been portrayed in a highly skewed manner, particularly from progressive/leftist sources, it exacerbates the us vs. them mentality among Blacks and cops based on false information and impressions and creates a false perception of state of things. Even the Rodney King beating, way back in the early 90s, was misleadingly portrayed. The clips news channels aired cut out the part of the video where he charges the cops, and of course he turned out the be an absolute shitbag. 3.) Democrats/leftists generally are not race neutral. A study was conducted on this and showed that they actually tended to be more racially biased than conservatives, except it was in favor of Blacks:

These shitstains are absolutely determined the murderer will go free. Even if they charge him, that will simply be just to buy time and hope the riots go away, then they'll let him off in the end. Smart strategy, but could backfire. Since it's clear he won't be indicted, news sources, particularly leftist/progressive ones (many major papers absolutely do have a leftist bias (NY Time, LA Times, WaPo, etc.) will likely report this/give the impression, if they aren't already doing so (I haven't checked). Hopefully they won't hold on to a glimmer of delusion. Word will spread of this, including among Blacks who are more likely to make that assumption, but there still won't be confirmation to trigger mass riots. This will give time for tensions to rise and future rioters to prepare.

Hopefully they won't be smart enough to take weather into account and release the verdict when it's unconducive to rioting. Hot weather is the best.

Good chance of this happening, there's a history of it, and given how leftist the area here is the black blocs can be pretty destructive. Blast to be in the action, watching things unfold up close. How hte fuck are there no exit wounds on the arm? What kind of pea shooter was that cop using? Also curious why it was necessary to keep shooting after blowing a chunk of the dudes hand off.
