Gangrene
« on: November 10, 2014, 01:23:10 am »
It has a very distinct smell.  If you've encountered it then you know what I'm talking about.  The smell really bothers me, more than feces, death, and all kinds of gross things.  It might be the thought of what is actually happening to the flesh.  Like those poor people are living with zombie toes, or whatever, attached to their bodies.  I bet that's what zombies smell like.

Sometimes I'm reminded of the smell of gangrene for seemingly no reason, and then I'll feel a little ill.

I have so many questions... why do you know what gangrene smells like? Why do you know what death smells like? Why do you question weather or not zombies smell like gangrene?
tl;dr: idealism will not un-rape you.

I need more info about the aforementioned subject for a school related extracurricular activity. Would you please provide the information necessary and could I quote you?

Worked in nursing homes and a hospital.

And my grandmother on my dad's side ended up with it twice, but I'm not sure if I was ever around her when she was at that point.  Think I remember it because I associate the smell with her now, but that could just be memory doing it's weird thing.  Her house smelled awful because she never cleaned it, which she was okay with because everything was "neat" and in its place.  She didn't let us kids touch anything at her house and smacked my cousin over the head with a broomstick for fucking around with her knick knacks once.  The only times she left the house in her last 20 years of life was to go to my uncle's wedding and to have surgeries performed.  Both of her legs were amputated, at different times.

My dad called her by her first name, and I didn't go to her funeral.  Kinda regret not going, but not too much.

Gangrene smells like rotten melted cheese,   if your out in the deep bush with a friend who cut himself on something and you smell the wound a few days later and it smells like cheese then its time to get to the hospital.
