Posting Ranks

So we have 5 posting ranks at the moment. They are:

Newbie: 0-49 Posts
Jr. Member: 50-99
Full Member: 100-249
Sr. Member: 250-499
Hero Member: 500-Infinity

Should we change them or are they good enough?

there is absolutely no need for posting ranks...they are absolutely meaningless.  if some asstard makes 5,000 posts with no content other than some stupid internet meme the poster still has less value than someone who makes 2 posts with constructive and useful content

edit:  it also encourages retards to make meaningless posts for no reason other to make their post counts go up

I'd make the gaps a bit larger

0-99
100-249
250-499
500-999
1000-2499

Even if there's no posting ranks, the post count is still there. And retards will be retards no matter what you do. In the end it's just a fun thing.

Maybe I'm still missing the point. If he posts spam just once, he gets a warning. Another time even a week after, he gets a ban. Another time, he gets an even longer ban. In terms of garbage posts, again, he'll still post them no matter if there's posting ranks or not.

As to why, as I said, it's just a fun thing, like signatures and avatars.

lol Dude, you're so confusing me. Posting ranks are for fun. Nothing else. How would having no posting ranks on totse2 make Hazza stop posting virtually valueless content? How are putting up posting ranks pooping in the sandbox? It's just acknowledging something that's already there with an easy-to-refer-to-title.
