I lost my virginity at the ripe old age of 18. And I am glad I waited for someone so special rather than fucking the first hood rat who came along.

In my state age of consent is 16. I think that is fair but I would also think it reasonable to say once you become a teenager you are ready to make your own decision. I say this because anyone under around 13 or so is much easier to take advantage of sexually simply because their naivete makes it much less probable that they fully understand what they are doing.

My state the age of consent is 18 unless the age gap is less than 4 years, then the age of consent is 16.  I think the 4 year rule is a decent rule and should be kept in place even if the age of consent was lowered to say 14.  Once you are 18, you should be allowed to do whatever you want with whoever you want.
