What the fuck do "Irish Americans" have in common with Irish people when their ancestors came here 125 years ago? Basically nothing. They aren't Irish. They're American. Forcing people into categories based on their skin color or ethnicity is racist.

I don't think the term "black" is offensive to black ppl.. that's what I call them.  I'm a white person.  Not a european american.  Delineation by continent of origin is really dumb, far too general, n as OP pointed out is only PC in reference to African and Asian americans.  (Sort of for Latin Americans too, but w/e)
