Hmm.  Don't think I've ever heard of Lonestar.  Is it mass-produced stuff?  For some reason a lot of people like red beer made with the crappiest beer there is.  Like bud light, coors light, etc.  Stuff made with corn syrup.  Any decent ale is the way to go imo.  Fat Tire works wonderfully.

But I'm a tiny bit of a beer snob.

yeast turns sugar into alcohol. there isn't corn syrup in the finished product.

the best combination for red beer is 1/4 glass V8 hot and spicy and fill to the top with steel reserve. stir. add a bit of louisiana hot sauce. pwnage.

I'm a fan of dark beers. I like Porters and Stouts with notes of smoke, chocolate, cream, and coffee. Scotch ales are good too. Occasionally I drink IPA's when I'm in the mood for something hoppy. The state and city that I live in has a great beer scene and I only  drink local craft beer.

When it comes to hard liquor I like rye whiskey with ginger ale/sprite/7 up.

My go to red wine is Zinfandel with notes of black pepper, raspberries, dark cherries.

I over done the brown ale last night. Got a killer hangover. Mixing drinks fucks with me the next day, long gone are the days of drinking everything and anything.

Mixed drink: White Russian. Apparently these were considered girly drinks before The Big Lebowski. One more reason to appreciate The Dude.

Hard liquor: Kilo Kai spiced rum. Sipping on some right now actually. Good gawd it is delicious.

Fermented: generally fond of hard ciders, still convinced that I can do better than Woodchuck, which is my current favorite.

Beer: Royal Oak Red. It's an amazing red beer that is sadly only available from The Royal Oak Brewery in Royal Oak, Michigan. Bring a growler. A big one.

Mainstream Beer: Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. The sour finish really works for it, and I don't even like sour in general.
