Ummmm....could someone explain to me exactly what the topic of discussion is here? Because all I see is people talking about "talking about things". Between this thread  and the other one titled "some word on what we are doing currently"....I still can't figure out what the "members involvement" is.

All I see is more or less an announcement about the future...not a discussion as part of shaping it. And the only message I've gotten from any of it, is staff is organizing "changes" and when they do finally post them publicly we all need to select our verbiage very carefully for fear of chasing admin back into his bunker.

So what IS exactly the "community involvement/discussion" that has any meaningful relevance to these upcoming changes?

And I can give your simple question a simple answer, son. For one thing, you're really not qualified, or even entitled, to determine who likes posting here and who doesn't. That's nothing but a straw man. Secondly, not tolerating people who have opinions which differ from yours is basically the same as not tolerating free speech. Even a 10 year old could have probably figured that one out, but not you. Yet another good reason not to put any worth whatsoever into your senseless, hasty and ill-thought-out comments.

He still somehow thinks he can please both sides - something which can't be done. But he's determined he's going to find a way, whether it means simply agreeing with both sides without actually making any changes either way, or pulling a disappearing act with the zok-patented "I Have A Life" scenario. Either way is merely a half-assed approach to the thing. A thing like this must be met head on, decisively, with eyes a-fire, tail bushy and bullet-proof vest properly secured. All he really had to do was change the mission statement to Knowledge is Power and all the erst would have been decided for him, but he doesn't want to go that route because secretly he values quantity over quality, but he just doesn't want to admit it publicly.

We're going to be posting the new rules for you guys to discuss when we've finally written them up.

So in essence nothing is going to change....you are just going to do what you want, and the only community "involvement" will be debating what you've done after the fact. Because you've already admitted you've ignored/avoided many of the complaints and suggestions that have been in multiple threads for a couple of weeks....while using the excuse of quantity or tone of users input to completely disregard them.

In essence, its a dog chasing it's tail. You'll make up rules you think are appropriate, and your only new expectation from the userbase is to talk nicer (god its lame how so much of that "niceness" is a focal point to such a degree on here considering the subject matter and personalities) to you for fear of you going back to your bunker.

Please list 'those people' who you think are "suffering from legitimate and severe psychiatric disorders of varying degrees." Then kindly demonstrate how you've used online psychiatric analysis to come to your conclusion regarding their mental health. This will enlighten the rest of the userbase as to your methods and expedite the process of removing them, if it's deemed necessary.
