This Pain
« on: October 23, 2014, 07:29:30 am »

I'm finding myself lost for expression in the afterglow of the night just gone. I made a series of specific poor choices which lead to getting fucking wasted and meeting again with someone to us known, an acquaintance once known not quite a friend but a partner whose loyalty to the occasion was bound by mutual appreciation for finding time.

You probably wouldn't believe a fucking word of it no matter how candid it is put across. It was barely short of the full meaning of the word fantastic, if only because everything unrelated and unlikely came together like an omelette held together by cheap wine and chances handed out by the cosmos for those who lay themselves upon to the will of it and follow instinct and interest, and it is far far more hard to take in when together truly on another level than the sum of all its parts.

You ever have one of those nights?

You're not wrong, upon chance I met the wizard. An exceptional dude. A man you don't ask question for the origin of but just take in everything you can while the chance exists, the kind of person that leaves you more or less speechless for the three hours of time and half a turkish pide shared and truly appreciated.
He may have been a vagabond with no formal education, no formal address and nothing but humble time to share even against the nearing clock of father death. He was also probably the most educated and eloquent person that would ever be met. He put something so seemingly unimportant as the beautiful calligraphy he was doing, whilst sitting alone in the smoking area of a pub he appeared at, and put it into contexts with the development of language and conceptual thought and advancement of man and babylon and so much in such an eloquent yet intricate way that I remember it so vividly yet cannot even begin to create an accurate summation as I'm still going over the conversation in recollection hoping that it will not be corrupted by memory, and unveiling multiple layers even to this hour in which you and I are speaking, Sososo. Whether it was crafted that way over the 27 years plus change he spent refining his calligraphy whilst serving a life sentence or it was just co-incidence I don't know but they do call Helmut the wizard after all.

That part of the night alone was nothing if not inspiring. I also go invited to a pre-op transexual's 50th birthday party - $35 cover charge but there's a known DJ and a bouncy castle.
