dryer for them so you can use the washer? I did and some guy walked up on me as I was doing it and he said "hey kid (im 27 years old but look young) I don't appreciate you touching my clothes"

and I said "hey lady, my life doesn't revolve around you watching stories" he got pissed started his dryer.. now im having to sit out here watching my clothes so this dude doesn't try something funny

am I in the wrong?

If done passive agressively it might be considered rude, but if it is done because shit need did then you would be within your own right to tell this man that if he wasn't too busy sitting in the corner with his thumb up his ass nobody would have to clean up after him like his mother.

Definitely not rude, what's rude is being a dipshit and leaving your clothes in the washer after they're done when someone is waiting on it.

yeah, they are definitely the asshole. its not hard to put a timer on your phone.

we do this shit in the dorms, some assholes will take the laundry, and if there isn't a dryer open, just dump it on top of the washer. if the dryers are done and someone needs them, they get dumped on the floor.

Been there before myself, and communal laundry facilities in an apartment complex can be a real pain in the ass. What kills me is when a WHOLE FUCKIN DAY passes and you are checking on their shit every 3 or 4 hours and it still hasn't been moved. Depending on my work schedule I would finally just lay their clothes on a table or wherever.

The worst was when I had the complete opposite happen to me. I went to take clothes out of the washer , and found my stuff in the sink with the washer running with someone else's shit. They obviously interrupted the cycle because my clothes were soaking drenched and never went through the spin phase. So I put my laundry in the dryer and then took their stuff out and threw it all over the floor, the nastiest corners I could find, everywhere.

I went apeshit and started yelling for all could here..."whoever the fuckin dickhead was that messed with my laundry, can now find it on the floor. Although, I'll be here for at least an hour guarding my drying cycle, so unless you want to deal with me, I suggest you come back later".....along with a litany of expletives. This is one of the many cases where being known as the crazy assertive guy can be a positive.  ;)

I grabbed a book from my apartment and camped out till my clothes were done, and only a couple of neighbors came up after hearing the ruckus getting a good chuckle since they didn't do it and was hoping to watch me throw down with someone.

Only advice I can give is try to do your laundry during weird hours when most people are at work or asleep...lessening the probability of having to mingle with lazy and idiotic people.

whats even worse is when people steal items of your clothing out of the dryers.

why would you need to dump there stuff on the floor to use a dryer? dryers are usually side loaded...

"I've worked the past ten hours hauling around two hundred pound concrete filled tubes in ankle deep mud, Please don't give me a reason to hit you."

[Edit]
Also missed out on an opportunity to go to the washroom with an empty cup and piss in it so when you threw it into the dryer you could of added a "little extra". Don't smell so bounty fresh now anymore eh cocksucker! ;D

Definitely not rude, what's rude is being a dipshit and leaving your clothes in the washer after they're done when someone is waiting on it.

That

When I was in the military it was common courtesy to leave clothes that finished the wash cycle on top of the washer just in case the owner wanted a special drying cycle.  It was also common courtesy to sit and watch the tv during the last few minutes of the wash and dry cycle to make sure no one else was inconvenienced by a dead washer or dryer.  No one would ever interrupt a cycle...that would result in that person never being able to do laundry again. Ive seen rude launderers get their shit left in trash cans,  thrown out the door onto the ground, 'dirty-dicked' and used as toilet paper. There was a douche who pissed someone off so was watching his load to make sure it stayed safe.  A previous victim ran up to the machine before he could stop him and dropped something in that ruined every piece of clothing. One uniform cost about $100 at the time and there were multiple ones in

Nah, the way my mind works it would have been as if they were "chasing me away"....and won some kind of dominance over the laundry area. At that point that place was MY DOMAIN in a metaphorical sense since it was a 12 unit building, and I was really hoping the sad little fucktard had come back.

When i Was doing my time in county we had a washer and dryer to wash our jumpsuit in because I made trustee and we wore blue jumpsuit instead of orange. Whenever your clothes were done drying we would just yell DRYER and you better go get your clothes or theyre going to be picked through and then thrown on the floor. That was the main thing people would argue over, the laundry lol.

Anyways op you did the right thing and i would have done the same.
