Hello. Recently I have been thinking about going back to school (don't wanna be a fast food restaurant cashier for the rest of my life). I have my eyes on dental hygiene, and the only reason is because the pay is, or can be, quite good. I don't really have any passion for oral/dental care or anything, just to be honest. I will be in it only for the money.
Do you guys think this career path will suit me? I can be quite careless at times, I admit. So I don't know if I would be a good dental hygienist. What other traits are required to succeed in this role? I want to assess my own suitability (or lack thereof) for this profession.
Thanks.
edit: Maybe I should go into greater details about my own traits and personality to help you guys get a clearer picture of me. The things I really truly enjoy doing are reading, learning English, and coming to online boards to argue with people. I don't like to do anything else nor am I really good at anything else. But there are no jobs that allow me to make a living off of coming online to argue with people. So I have to think of something else that will help me pay the bills and bring home the bacon.
