I've pissed in the shower, but as its already been stated.. If one simply has too, or otherwise be forced to exit the shower simply to piss and then get back in.. just aim for the drain. I don't make a habit of it, but there are those occasions.

 I aim for the drain because I generally shower facing that singular direction.. short of rinsing my back. I suppose it all washes the same direction, just seems more practical than pissing backwards and letting it wash over my feet before rinsing away.. each their own though.

I understand that. I do the same, as logic would dictate. Based on what I'm asking though, isn't so much the sanitary factor as it relates to urine near a drain or not near a drain, especially is it pertains to a sink. If anyone pissed into their sink I'd like to think they would even subconsciously take some form of aim toward the drain. My broader question regards such things as splatter, misinterpretation, forked streams, mental retardation, etc.
