I've seen a handful, but I'm not a connoisseur by any measure. Serial Experiments Lain was a trip, I want more like that.

Death Note is kinda similar in that it's very cerebral, but more in a good murder mystery way than the kinda just trippy abstract/contemplative way Lain was. Both Bakemonogatari and FLCL felt similar to me in that they have the same sense of elliptical pace and often the general atmosphere of a scene being more important than the development of any plot points.
